My name is João Martins I'm 29 years old and I enjoy watching animes with good stories and good character development.
My favourite hobbies are playing online games, watching anime and playing tennis/football.
How I rate
Story: I start with the complexity of the world, after that the originality of the story and finally how good the plot is in general.
Soundtrack: I sort 1 to 8 points to the ost during the anime and the last 2 points for the openings. I evaluate both with margins of 0,5.
Characters: For this part I start looking for the personalities of the characters, after that to their stories and finally if they have development or not during the anime.
Art: If I choose a set of characters and change their hairstyle / hair color and they look like other characters of the same anime, I can no longer evaluate high quality. Then I look for the anime details and finally the originality of the design.
Enjoyment: For this one I give a note from how it made me feel during the anime (if it made me feel emotional in some parts, if it made me laugh, etc) to how it made me want to watch the next episode or not.

Anime Recommendations
I created these lists not to imply that you have to have exactly the ages referred to watch these animes but It means that around these ages you will enjoy it more or it's the age that you need (in average) to understand what's going on.
They are only based in animes that i've watched so far because I can't have opinions on anything else.
Note: When it says series means that they have sequels and are included for that age gap to. Furthermore theres no order in the animes for beeing better or worse.
Kids(4-9)
This first one is pretty childish because its really meant for kids. The reasons for this age gap are mainly because you don't need to understand whats going on around anything and they don't have any sort of physical violence. Other aspect is that some of these animes are really meant to watch by these ages for example Digimon 01 (to help kids becoming better citizens in the future).
The biggest difference between this list and the first one is that it already starts to resort to physical combats and also most of the characters have the age listed. These animes start having characters with background stories but most of them don't focus much on developing them in order to focus more on fights, comedy, adventures, etc.

Teens(15-17)
In average this one comparing to the list above starts having darker tones on the art. The second difference is that most of the characters have high school/college ages. Also the characters on this list tend to have more development than the ones on the list above and the plot is meant to be more realistic and less predictable.

Adults(18+)
This one is really meant to watch when you're over 18 because they have extremely complex background stories that most people won't understand before reaching at least this age or these animes just have content that you shouldn't watch before you're 18. For the first time the first reason behind these animes is to tell a story to the viewer. Some of them can be extremelly slow paced to show more about the world they live in so don't expect them to have a lot of comedy and fights.
