Thank you for the anime rec gifts! I recall watching a few episodes of Ayashi Ceres waaaay back in the day, when I was just starting to get into subtitled anime. Not sure that I ever completed the series though (it's not on my list) and I haven't read the manga either. Do you know if it was adapted faithfully?
Paradise Kiss I have read the manga of, and it was a really good choice for a rec for me as well :)
But I must say, I'm super tickled about your bonus recommendation: Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki. I don't just like cats, I love them—so much that users occasionally drop me kitty gifs on my profile :D I really can't wait to try this one, and would have completely missed it if you hadn't pointed it out. Will try to remember to let you know once I've seen a few episodes of it.
