I guess it feels more like you're at home when most of the country's people are a part of the same religion as you. And what would you mean by your last sentence?

Canada's a very multicultural nation (especially the west coast since lots of asians from the other side come here). Protection from the constitution creates a more free and diverse set of religions here so one event strictly for one religion wouldn't be too big here.
