the show i was thinking of was about the right name just take of that 'ko'

and like i said more 'grain' causes bigger file sizes(also the shows shift a little because it was a VHS). "grain will make your video more difficult to encode, resulting in a larger filesize"(source:http://amvhell.com/stuff/avtech/post-qual.html)
some other examples of old shows, that have lots of grain and shifting.
