The only basket anime I've watched was Slam Dunk and I loved it. It looks like you are into sports and shounen. So I would recommend it, if you accept watching 90s series :) Rurouni Kenshin as well ^.^
It actually depends if you want to keep on watching long series or if you want a short one!
