I use the anidb review rating system when i rate anime, but with minor changes. I rate according to these:
1.animation (quality of animation relatively to when it was released, and if it fits the themes of the anime)
2.sound (voice acting, musical themes, sound effects and how they fit the anime. i don't take openings and endings into account. as they are just a way to promote the anime)
3.characters (writing and character development, it it's needed)
4.story (writing and conclusion, if it's needed)
5.value (significance of the anime relatively to other anime of its genre and time period, originality and rewatchability)
6.enjoyment (if it succeds to make you feel the feelings it wants you to feel, and the ways it trues to do it)
Also, I never drop anime i start,I try to complete franchises, and if i skip parts of an anime, i note it and rate only the episodes i have seen.
