However my biggest issue was the group should have been racing to get to Falin as quickly as possible (even if they thought they had lots of time to get to her) instead the story was focused on cooking.
If they didn't have a party member literally dissolving in a dragons stomach waiting to be rescued I would not have minded the focusing being on cooking (that's why I picked the series up after all).... but it's like they forgot their friend/sister even existed until the last few episodes which was really distracting to me and made me dislike the characters a little as it felt like Falin was not even a priority to them (until the last few episodes).
Ex: They could cook living armor or spend that time getting to the lower levels... obviously they found a way to cook the living armor
That being said I could be convinced to pick the series up again, as I liked the mad mage aspect... and Fujimoto (chainsaw man) apparently recommends the series
