I believe this article was wrongfully approved at AfC. While the prose and formatting are good, the article crucially rests entirely on one citation, and that citation is user-submitted content on TV Tropes. I see this as a promising article were it to be populated with adequate references, but there's a very good reason why wikis aren't allowed as a source, and without it, this article is left completely uncited. Recommend WP:DRAFTIFY, as AfC clearly moved this into the mainspace too early.

You were asked before, by RandomCanadian, to stop inserting trivial material sourced only to YouTube--but you are still doing it, as your edits in Popeye and Betty Rubble prove. Linking some commercial or whatever in the infobox under "portrayer" is absolutely unencyclopedic--as I noted earlier, you are making Wikia style edits. Please stop. Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Popeye actors
editHi Bladerunner09, I see that you added "Mike O'Malley voiced [character] in an audiobook for Popeye and the Ghosk of Ghoulie Grange" on every major Popeye character's infobox. I don't think that is a notable production. It's just a YouTube video, not a published audiobook. Either way, it wouldn't be as important as the voice actors who perform the characters in the actual cartoons and films. Let me know if you have any thoughts. I usually assume it is best to think that a website is copyrighted if there is no clear copyright status, be it a one-man blog or not, than to think that it is not. - @Asilvering Their blog is copyrighted. Once their “own word” appears in the blog, it becomes copyrighted. So, whether they actually wrote it there or not, the texts becomes copyrighted and as such they have to write in another of their “own word” that is not their “own word” from the blog post. What happens a fair amount of the time is that users just go quiet in the middle of these discussions and we never hear from them again. I assumed a week was more than long anough for VRT to have explained what was needed from you, but clearly that is not the case, so that's on me and I do apologize. I would hope that the phrasing of my decline would mean that future reviewing admins would not hold it against you in any case.

@Asilvering I have recently been drafting an edit for the article Bink & Gollie in Notepad. I saw that it was a stub, and decided to add information to improve and expand it a little. This includes how the book was created, its publication date, its award-winning animated adaptations in 2012-2013, etc. I wrote all of this in my own words and added references to the original copyrighted information. Here is an example: "The idea behind the book came in 2006 when Kate DiCamillo and Alison McGhee (who met in 2001) wanted to write one together, which they had not done before.[2] The two had an idea for a story about a short girl and a tall girl, emailing possible names for the characters to each other. - Ok, Bladerunner, I've had a look at this one and the sources, and I'm not seeing close paraphrasing here, so that's great. Two things: first, it's not DiCamillo who thought it was too much like pollywog, it was McGhee. Second, it's much better if you place the citations where they actually belong - ie, right on the sentence containing the fact they verify. - Ah, I thought I commented here the last time I got a notification from this thread, I clearly didn't. This block has actually become very unnecessary. Bladerunner's responses so far say it all; they now understand why they're blocked and have also said how they'd improve. If the only condition to unblock is by source-checking their next several major edits, then any admin should please unblock as that's something I (or anyone else) can, as usual, voluntarily do.
