so there a multiple viewing patterns to suzumiya, there is the broadcast pattern which is how they broadcasted it on air and then a chronological pattern which is the show in chronological time. both are very different in ending and how characters are to each other obviously so idk how you viewed it but it seems you might have watched some episodes mixed up. personally i like broadcast better since it ends with the air heater ep (i think or it may be chrono that has it last) also the 2nd season is notorious for having the first 9? episodes be the same exact episode. it's a major plot point since you find out they're in a time loop in s2 ep1. so i think you just got all the episodes mixed up which is common for people who don't know how to start suzumiya. but basically why i like it is because it was a one of a kind anime when it first came out. it literally changed several genres we see today and it had a fun cast of characters and interesting plot. haruhi is also just a really fun character to watch.

comparing past and future of the same author makes me understand how bad this anime is...

also, maybe is because in the past he had lots of space for development with visual novels and then another person made the anime script out of that... now he has to put these long stories on 12 or 13 episodes... maybe this could have been better with the same screentime as clannad...

ill concede on sound. I'm no sound expert. Everything has their preferences. Its a subjective category. Animation is not subjective. I literally work in the animation industry. I think our eyes are just trained to see different things. I agree that SAO has some amazing animation, but SAO also has some poor animation. That will be true for every animated show and film. Every aspect of a film cant be animated the same way with the same detail. Its a waste of time. You need to pick and choose what areas to dedicate your time on.
