We hope it's a good one~ :)
I'm starting to see why you hate this guy so much. Early on, I loved how completely selfless the guy was and his sense of justice. Hell, even the revelation about Suzaku's father was intriguing.
However, Suzaku's self-depreciation is really beginning to irritate me. It's OK to feel sorry for yourself and even shed a few tears. But when all you do is wallow in depression, without any sign of progression, you start coming across as unlikable, and that's where Suzaku is at right now.
The big issue with Geass's characterization is that this show knows how to give depth and importance to the cast but it doesn't have a clue on how to improve them.
Oh really? Good thing I didn't even care about Near and Suzaku then xD also thanks~
I really, really admire Suzaku's sense of justice; it dictates everything the man does. Sure, he might come across as holier-than-thou but at no point does his character become unrealistic. Suzaku knows deep down that there are many things wrong with how Brittania operates but what he realizes is that the way Zero is doing things won't fix the empire. This is why he makes it his mission to stop Zero at all costs. Honestly, if Kallen weren't a character in Code Geass, Suzaku might be my favorite.
Like I said, I'm still watching Code Geass so Suzaku might do something irredeemably despicable down the road. He might turn out to be a blind follower of Brittania, in spite of the empire's obvious shortcomings. However, as of episode 14 of Code Geass, the man has done nothing to earn the kind of hatred that he's been receiving. It's almost as if people view him as the second coming of Shinji Ikari...........
