I try to make my scores more critical than purely subjective.
Healthy arguments, opinions, discussions etc. are always welcome regarding pretty much anything (unless I've forgotten about it lol).
Any score for the series that I have on-hold is only temporary and is likely to change overtime.
Another thing I just want to make clear is that my favorites list is my personal favorite based on solely my enjoyment.
Meanwhile, I try to give the most appropriate score, regardless of my enjoyment based on various factors (mostly because I'm bored). Assigning value to art is bound to be subjective which goes without saying.
Also, my favorites list below does not include any movies since that would require whole another tab; I simply find it difficult to put shows and movies under the same tab as despite both primarily being visual mediums, I feel they are far too different due to pacing and length to be loosely grouped under the 'anime' belt.
I love stories in general and often delve into other mediums too.
What my scores roughly entail
10: An extremely high quality work that has one or more elements with very few parallels (or in some cases none) in the realm of fiction and is brilliantly executed.
They have either negligible or no negatives that distract from it's main narrative resulting in perfection along with it's overall excellence.
This is some of the absolute highest quality work one can find, not just in it's respective medium but beyond!
OUTSTANDING
9: Another very high quality work. It may also similarly have fantastic, nigh-unparalleled elements compared to it's contemporaries across any medium and is very well executed however it is not quite perfect, having minor issues that leave a very slight dent on the overall narrative.
It is also possible to retain it's overall perfection with this rating at the cost of being just a tad bit short of brilliance in any way whatsoever.
Exceptionally good overall, also belonging to the highest echelons like that of a 10 but some things leave just a little bit to be desired in an otherwise incredible work.
AMAZING
8: Very well executed. It certainly has it's strengths. It's flaws may be slightly heavier to leave a significant dent or may lack similar depth compared to the works assigned a higher score but for the most part, it manages to get it's message across quite well.
Nevertheless, a very high quality work!
VERY GOOD
7: Quite good. Nothing impressive overall but this is nothing to scoff at either. Generally, jack of all trades and master of none also fit this rating quite well. They might even have a strong element or two but more negatives are likely to hamper the score down overall.
It is still handled well enough and continues to be a respectable, high quality work.
GOOD
6: This is definitely not mediocre but nothing good either.
Pretty decent, managing to step on top of the average run-of-the-mill work.
Sadly, it's flaws may be significant enough, making it difficult to ignore while good elements lean on the weaker side. Wasted potential.
DECENT
5: It's rather mediocre. Either it has nothing much to provide or it's flaws affect the narrative on a major scale. Anywho, in the end, it is just okay, doing an acceptable enough job in every way.
It is still entertaining enough to consume.
AVERAGE
4: This is below-average. It somehow manages to be worse off than other fish in the sea. Many factors could be involved but it could still be somewhat enjoyable.
SUBPAR
3: This is just bad, plain and simple. It barely has any positives and negative aspects outweigh positives by a landslide. It still may have some decent, minor elements that are at least standard but overall, it is not worth it.
BAD
2: This is how you manage to do everything wrong! Nearly everything is terrible but it just might have that one minor aspect which in of itself is likely to be average, which makes me even want to award it a single point. Some competency and effort may be found but is weighed down by the overall narrative.
VERY BAD
1: This is just horrible! This has nothing to offer to it's reader/watcher and it's so bad, no matter how hard I try to look for anything positive, it is impossible to find. This is how you manage to do everything wrong with no saving grace.
Horrendous!

What, that's one of the most aesthetic illustrations I have see, and that's to be expected considering how Jun's use of colors is amazing, to say the least... But to each their own, I guess. I recommended it cos Pandora Hearts is in your favorites. I think Vanitas no Carte has the potential to even surpass Pandora Hearts considering the scope of the narrative and the mystery connecting to its entire setting. Oh well, you can try Chapter 1 and then decide if you wanna continue the story or not as it's one of my favorite beginning manga cos of the way it ended.
Oh, why is that?
Btw you should try reading The Case Study of Vanitas.
