Anime watchin', tea drinkin', snack eatin' extraordinaire! Over the past 25 years I have seen a vast number of anime titles. (I started young. ;D) Needlees to say, I like a diverse amount of anime and manga (though my tastes are leaning towards more mature shows as I get older - josei and seinen as opposed to the shoujo and shounen) . But I hope my recommendations and ratings will be helpful to you!
A quick note with relation to scoring: anything rated 7 and above is something I would consider buying on DVD or Blu-ray.
