Yes chess is fun because you get the chance to trick your opponents and outsmart them. And yea with most games in general, there’s always a difference with watching and playing since when you’re playing, you get to use your brains and get to decide the outcome (although that’s more with solo games, team games is a different story). And for basketball, I just play basketball by myself nowadays.
