YOU GUYSSSS! Clearly I'm trying to get use to being back on here lol if the sound is not matching up for you..IM SO SORRY! :( lol forgive me.
Nice content! I quit my my job as an RN last two years ago after almost 17 years in the field. It was not an easy decision, but life is too short to dread going to work everyday. No amount of money can buy real happiness, but friends I'm not asking you to resign from your job or abandon your business but be wise!
Yes I don't really like my job but I love what it provides for me and my family. This pandemic has people rethinking working
Hello ma'am what do you do now and how did you plan yourself before quitting?
right now I run my own business and While I was still in service I planned towards early retirement, making about 2 to 3k weekly from my retirement investment portfolio trying so much to build more side hustles and extra income
wow impressive you're making quite a fortune speaking of investing I have heard about it but I don't really know how to start can you explain?
there's a lot of investing options but my best advice get a professional lead you into profitable one that's exactly what I did
I am a Nurse but I hate my job. This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 7 months ago about self development. Now I have 702 subs and > 200 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
This channel also inspired me to upload my recent videos to share my opinions about the main things that truly impacted the way I live. They're a couple of my most vulnerable videos that I've been hesitant to post for many months because of the fear of being misunderstood but I finally decided to overcome that fear so others can learn from my experience so we can all grow together. They're packed with valuable information about the relationship between a job and happiness.
Girl, I feel you. I love when I’m not the only one. Been a nurse for a year and 2 months. Quitting by the end of the month.
I totally get this. I've been a nurse did 4 years and I worked NICU for a year. It was level 3, night shift, and the final straw for me. Between staffing issues, anxiety and stress from work, lack of sleep it was just a disaster. I also left. My mental health was more important. Now I'm looking for a day shift position and like you said, something I won't hate doing for the next 10+ years. Work life balance is so important. I'm 10000% a better worker when the balance is there. Good for you for making that change! Best of luck at the new job!
This seems to be happening everywhere. I actually want to leave nursing all together and just work per diem. I love my job as a Motherbaby & NICU Level 2 nurse & Stepdown Nurse, but the nurses around me are soo miserable and the old ones stay because of the benefits & the new ones leave to travel; it has been so mentally draining to work in that toxic environment. Once i buy my house, i dont think I can stay there any longer. But then where can we go as it seems it’s happening way too often in alot of the states now.
You basically told the story of my first nursing job! Started off on nights but switched to days after just a few weeks. I was already looking to transfer units/areas after just 6 months. There was too much extra going on, and I was always feeling like crap. Took a while to finally get another job, but I've been a lot better ever since. I'm glad you were able to recognize how your old job was affecting you and find something more suitable.
I’m so so glad you’re doing so much better! Seriously, we deserve it. 🤍
You’re glowing love! The change was obviously needed! I remember your video when you first got that job, it seemed like that job was hell from the get go. Babes, I’m happy for you and I’m happy to see your beautiful face and hear your voice, WE ALL MISSED YOU🤩🥰💯
I also work in the NICU and love it, but am feeling burnt out and bitter about it now. I just had my first baby and had a rough pregnancy and it showed me that my job doesn’t really care about me. Bedside nursing is tough and being short staffed, missing breaks, having high acuity assignments while being pregnant is tough. On my second to last shift I wasn’t feeling very good and they gave me an admit-I asked if someone else could take it as I was feeling very faint, dizzy and short of breath and they said no. I had a gut feeling something was wrong and so after my dinner break I went to L&D triage and I HAD FREAKING PREECLAMPSIA AND THEY HAD TO INDUCE ME!!! Sooooo after my maternity leave idk if I want to work bedside anymore-i feel like it was partially to blame for my rough pregnancy 😩 good for you for putting yourself first 👏
Omgggg thank you so much for sharing this. I pray you and your baby are now both doing well! I really hope you’re able to find a spot that you love and values YOU!
Congratulations girl! Our mental health at the end of the day is most important. I left the nicu recently as well and transitioned into the outpatient setting and absolutely love it! I wish you well in all you do!
I LOVE that for you! And I appreciate you so much for being so kind. ✨
@@itsandreamarie Thank you and you're welcome! The joys of nursing, we can move around easily and gain so many skills in various areas.
I been working nights come nxt month it would be a year & it definitely takes a toll..I'm currently out of work for 2 weeks from stress because of it..mental health is worth way more than $..I'm miserable , all I wanna do is sleep on my off days, I had anxiety, I kick myself every day for transferring & taking this job
I know exactly what you mean, I’ve been in that same situation. Don’t beat yourself up about it! It sounds like it’s time to start looking for something better. 🤍
@@itsandreamarie it definitely is & I have, just playing a waiting game
I’m so glad I’m not alone🥺
Thanks for sharing Andrea! May God continue to keep you.🙏🏾

I have been waiting on this video congrats girl🎊
Thank you so much! ☺️
I am an avid believer in PROTECT YOUR PEACE, I am so happy that you did what you needed to do. I am even happier that you are sharing your story on this platform for other nurses who may feel obligated to stick with a job that doesn't support them. I am so excited for the content to come!💕
That means so much 🥹🫶🏽 prioritizing myself has been the best decision ever. Thank you so much for watching!
So glad you are back with such an amazing video 👍🏾👏🏾🤗❤️
Thank you so much!!
@@itsandreamarie You’re welcome anytime 🤗
You got your braces off 🥳🥰. How does it feel to have them off?
Congratulations for being your own advocate, Andrea!
Feels great! I’ve had them off for I think 2 years already 😂 and thank you so much being so kind.
So happy for you! I’ve been watching you since you were in nursing school and when you graduated in May 2019 it gave me the drive to finish in December 2019. I’ve been in the medical ICU since then I am starting to have the same feelings. Thank you for sharing your experience
It seriously means so much that you’ve been around for this long 🥹🤍 I really appreciate you! I pray you continue to do the things that make you happy. Whether that’s staying in the ICU or finding something new!
@@itsandreamarie thank you so much! So excited you’re back recording and I know this new chapter will bring added blessings to your life. Thank you for sharing with us!
So how did you get into the NICU? Specialties are super hard to get into for new grads. You’re lucky because I’ve been in Med surg. I quit my first Med surg position after a year and a month. I couldn’t take it anymore. The ratios are insane and I just hated the work culture where I was.
They love to put young nurses in med-surg and give them the worst experience.
@@angelamcpherson8283 why is that though? Is it another form of bullying?
@@nickidrew5113 because they take advantage of new grads. No one within these hospitals transfers to these floors. Sometimes they have a traveler but the worst med surg floors depend on float nurses and nurses being pulled. It’s a revolving door. They don’t fix the staffing.
@@nickidrew5113before I would say bullying I would say they take opportunities to use new grads, and minorities to include nurses that may not have been in this country. Essentially they are just taking advantage of.
How did you get into the NICU it seems very hard to get into smh
I AM GOING THRU THIS RIGHT NOW 😩😩😩😩
I thought I saw you in downtown in the medical office building for onboarding (won’t say which facility) I wasn’t sure it was you at the time and didn’t want to seem weird because I was super confused bc I thought you worked nights 😂 this was like last week of June / first week of July. I’m a NICU traveler here out in Houston but I mainly travel because I CANT do nights !!!
Hahaha, how funny is that! 🤣
Omg I just realized literally you have 5 years worth of nursing content . I’m so glad that we get to see you evolve and that your still doing RUclips! showing us your journey. Definitely excited to see what else you create 💗
Isn’t that so wild? I can’t believe it - 5 years!! I absolutely love connecting with you guys here on RUclips and I’m so excited for what’s to come. 🤍
Congrats on doing three years. I've only done one, and I'm throwing in the towel at the facility that I'm at. It sucks being short staffed, depleted mentally, stressed, unable to eat/pee etc. I'm now looking at other options. And I get not wanting to talk about nursing 24/7. There's much more to you than being a nurse. I hate when people ask me about my job/mention work to me. What specialty are you working now if you dont mind me asking?
Thank you for being so understanding! 🤍
Finally!!
HELLOOOO! 😊🤩
GOOD FOR YOU!! I’m only confused about if you’re still a NICU nurse? Or is that what you’re not sharing if you are or not? Missed you! 🫶🏾
I definitely should’ve mentioned that! I’m no longer working in the NICU, at all. Missed you guys! 🫶🏽
@@itsandreamarie Oh okay!! One more question if you want to answer! Do you still love the NICU?? It’s what I want to do and love hearing the different experiences
@@saunyaewatson I do! I learned a lot but I was just ready for something new and needed a better environment for my own sake.
Are you still working inpatient or are you working outpatient now? Are you even working as a nurse anymore?
I guess nursing need a major pay raise for it to seem worth it. We’re all leaving
Completely agree.

So everytime I have a stressful shift at work I see videos like this. Interesting message from sky daddy 😭🥹
