Yes, I haven't seen Code Geass, but it's currently on my Plan To Watch. I mean he's got more likes than L and Light, and even Levi. Hehe. I'm so curious, why do a lot of anime fans here find him interesting? Is Code Geass an amazing show? Enlighten me please. I'll really appreciate it. :) |

| If you're curious I think you should watch it, that's if you don't have anything against mecha. It's an interesting anime. Many people say it's a trainwreck and it's true, but still it's a very interesting trainwreck. You mentioned L, Light, and Levi. |

| Because: 1. He's cute as heck. That should come as no surprise since his character design was done by CLAMP, a great and very popular group of manga artists. 2. Despite being depicted a huge tactical genius, he is also depicted as a genuine human being who can falter in light of emotional circumstances, unlike Death Note's Light Yagami, whose Lelouch's character archetype was ironically influenced from. His actions and ideals as grandiose as his personality is humanly relatable, which makes Light seem like a cardboard cutout in comparison. 3. Throughout the show he makes a fair number of personal sacrifices for the greater good, which makes him ultimately be seen in a good and heroic light despite of his initial machiavellian ideals. 4. Because of the rest of the large cast being underdeveloped or making enough turns into their affiliations for all of them to end up unlikable backstabbers (And yeah, this is my hater part showing) he alone ends up as the only constant force moving the show. Well, there's also Jeremiah Gottwald, or Orange-kun, but he's more likable because of his memetic status than for his actual role in the grand scheme of the show. And that is all I could think of right now. I hated that show, or rather hate the second season and how overhyped it is, but I also have to recognize all of Lelouch's qualities and what makes him a likable main (anti)hero and overall great character. |

MAL's taste in characters tends to disalign with my taste in characters a lot more than MAL's taste in anime tends to with my taste in anime. Tfw Rem has more favorites than Shinobu now. | Light isn't even a good character after episode 25 and Levi is just ok. L is the only truly good guy conperable to Lelouch. Funny how all of these guys have "L" in the name. This can't be a coincidence. Light, Kirito, Naruto, Asuna, Natsu, Erza, Levi, and Mikasa are on this list. It's clearly not about being a good character (except Lelouch actually is and even plebeians can notice that). |

| Because his actions often results in unintended consequences that comes to bite him repeatedly. Some of his moments of "genius" (or asspulls, depending on how you look at it) have also caused him great loss and tragedy. Yet in the end, he managed to turn all of that loss and all of that tragedy and all the pain and scars he inflicted into something worthwhile you could say he actually won. The ending is still naive.
