| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow, they actually climbed inside the cannon to destroy it. And Desler was thinking of moving to Earth??? Then it's a really good idea to destroy it completely with radiation. Well, the premise of the show doesn't make much sense anyway so I guess one should just forget such things (why would aliens come to the solar system just to destroy Earth if our technology is clearly inferior anyway) |

| Now that the introduction phase is passed, will the travel really begin? The Yamato being a naval ship recylcled into a space one, yet retaining its naval abilities and being able to assume the role of a submarine ship is quite a lot. 3/5 I don't think this intrigue was enough to earn two épisodes. It's funny to see how the show both introduces astronomic datas to children and nonsensical elements at the same time. This would have been a huge success if it was broadcasted in France in the 80s. |

| Infiltration mission! I like it :-) I also like the "classical" look and feel of the alien structures. It looks odd and a bit unusual, but also not so "alien" as in some other sci-fi works :-) The way outside the Solar System is now clear. What will be the next stop? Proxima Centauri? |
