Alright, let's get to it then. The theme of this contest is 'Freedom' What Do I mean by that? Some of you might be wondering, well it's the Summer is it not? What do you do during the Summer? It's up to you; but one thing is for sure: You can do anything! ... Legal ... So in this FOURTH SUPER MEGA ULTIMATE contest, write ANYTHING YOU WANT! Any genre, (Action, Comedy, Horror, Romance, etc.) You can mix, match genres to your liking. Any theme (insert example here), Etc. It's all up to you to decide what you want to show to represent yourself. Hell, you can even put unfinished work, of course you'll be disqualified from some polls; but there are plenty of others you can win from. Like I said in capitol letters, WRITE ANYTHING YOU WANT!

Minimum: 2000-8000 (IDK if anyone will check if it's actually above 2000 words or below 8000, I kno I wont check.)

August 1 - 29 (Depending on what part of the world you're in)

Alright, so given that this is my first time participating I'll ask forgiveness for any mistakes I make.

The title (improvised as I have yet to decide on a real one):
The Shadow War

The Genre (sorry for being difficult):
Fantasy; though I suppose it could be action? Decide for yourselves I suppose.

Also, I do consider this piece to be a completed short story, though the cliff hanger is obvious. I do plan to expand this into a full length story in the near distant future. Judge it how you feel it should be read.

Sorry I'm not too terribly active in the club. I get pretty busy with life and mostly only use MAL for tracking my anime watching. All the same, it's good to have a group of like minds that I can connect with from time to time on here.

I hope that somebody else posts something in here. That would be kinda lame and a bit awkward if I was the only entry. Though I suppose winning every category -by default or otherwise- would be interesting.
