Synopsis

When a person dies, their soul leaves the body in the form of a butterfly and the body itself rots away quickly after.

Ono lost his entire family in a plane crash fourteen years ago. But since this tragedy, the body of Senri, his twin sister, is still intact while the butterfly that contains her soul was stolen by a mysterious individual during the accident, leaving her unconscious and in a vegetative state.

In order to get back his sister's butterfly, Ono joins the famous "Death Bureau," a state agency specialized in the capture, conservation and management of the butterflies before they disappear for good 49 days after their host's death.

I am the first person to ever write a review about this series and so I'll be as brief as possible. It's ok, not great as it could have been, not bad as it could have become, but just ok...an easy 6 out of 10 with an incomplete story, a pretty art style, some one dimensional characters and a feeling of emptiness.
The 23 chapters have some highs and some lows, but for me the lowest points of the manga have to be Sagawa's backstory and the ending...both of them making reading the manga a monumental task,

This manga has a boring cast, that ranges from shallow and boring, to downright insultingly bad.

Everyone is bland and one dimensional until you get to Sagawa, spoilers ahead, Sagawa is a troubled character that is shown to have a brutal past. She was gang raped by her cousin and his friends before attempting to conduct human experiments on her body. To add insult to injury, she is shown to be promiscuous and used as fan service despise this backstory. Not even two chapters after we learn of her backstory, she is shown to be on the brink of killing herself from shame.
