No. Just...no.
Let me preface my review by letting you know that I really like PriConne. But this is just not it.
- The story is dreadfully boring and generic. That's not something new, but without the Gacha shenanigans muddying it up, it just sticks out so much more.
- The overfocus on Pecorine and Karyl. The fact that Kokkoro and co are always buzzing around Yuuki and we basically never see him alone (or with another girl) is annoying.
- Where is the romance? PriConne is all about that. I'm pretty sure the majority of the people that watched this anime played the mobile game. Where
...
are all the bonding scenes? Hell, scenes with just some romance? There ain't none, because we just have to see Pecorine and co 24/7.
- Why is Yuuki sidelined for 90% of the show? Just so that Pecorine can get another friendship boost power up and beat this week's villain? Or that we can see another unfunny face stuffing? I'm pretty sure someone on the directing board hugged her Dakimakura too much. I can't really explain the obscene amount of Pecorine stuff that's in this Season.
-Where are all the characters? We barely see anyone apart from you-know-who. And if they're there, they're made to look stupid.
- The only positives I have are the Art and Sounds. They're both very, very good.
In closing... I don't know why I'm still expecting something from Gacha animes. If there ever is a Season 3 (which is highly unlikely), I won't watch it.
