Firstly,
I don't like this anime quite many people enjoy it but being someone who know of Riichi's other works.. I am convinced, it's just an excuse to potray spit fetish. It's totally fine if you like it, i just think the story seems more like a Hentai plot rather than an ecchi anime one.
Riichi's other works and why this one get too much credit:
As said before most of Riichi's work have some sort of fetish included in it, acting like this one is any different from the others would be wrong. In one manga Ookumo-chan it's about Minoru getting flashbacks from his mom

as a high school student, not going in too much detail but yes it is a mom complex manga. You could argue there is a reason for it but in the end there is a fetish included as a mayor part of the plot just like this one. I believe he made a manga about girls turning into robots (Yume Tsukai) just don't read it tbh.
Therefore saying this is an outstanding plot is just not correct, he has made so many similiar fetish "based" works before this one and even though the plot can be interesting in itself it's rooted in a fetish. To me it just sounds like that one "hentai" you watched and then remember how weird it was. Worse of all is that some of his works would actually have great potential if he did make the story some sort of fetish work.
Unlikable MC for me at least. Tsubaki looks are average all though i understand the "relatable and easy to put yourself in" MC idea. It often disappoint me and is extremely overused at this point. As i said i understand the context of the plain male MC, it just often fail to deliever for me. It make them seem kind of boring and have a personality of a microwave. They all have the same exact personality, which i think is strange based on the fact that the "plain" or "average" guy is different in all ages and in all cultures. Sometimes this trope works out perfectly this just isn't the case.
People seem to forget that this guy went overline and then played the "victim card" when he got consequences being that after he went over Urabe comfortzone and didn't feel like having contact with him. We were suppose to feel bad for him and him feeling bad but in reailty he should feel bad he did something wrong? I don't feel bad for him at all. I have no more thoughts to add.

Story: 3-5 max
The story was overall, alright nothing out of the ordinary. However it doesn't get interesting at all until like episode 11-12! The story is extremely slow outlayed, takes forever for the village and the doctor 'Toshio' to understand. The story is also black and white! Shiki kill human? SHIKI BAD!!! Human kill Shiki? HUMAN BAD!!!
I didn't sympathize with any side expect some characters 'deaths'. In the start i disliked Shiki much more than the villagers for the reason that they went straight to attack their families because HEY! maybe they would RAISE up! You know just maybe a small

chance but that's something?!
Then the villagers started a Shiki genocide and well ooh boy! My sympathy for them went away in seconds because they lost all their empathy like feeling nothing while doing horrendous acts on their past lovers and family members! They also attacked anyone they felt was helping the Shiki..????
Shiki also attempted to make the whole village, an okiagari village. The villagers and the Shiki were the same in that way.
Characters: 3!
Badly written characters! Most of the characters was unlikeable like Masao for an example he was a big a-hole and never got a character development.
Art: 6/7
I like the art! it's very exaggerated which i like! I can see why people wouldn't like it though! Some designs were just generic though and then in the next scene there is someone with crazy looking hair like Ritsuko or Kaori. Which makes it look odd and wrong together.
Enjoyment: 3
I didn't enjoy it since it was slow and almost everyone was a jerk.
Overall: 4!

I like the whole urban legend thing, however you could see the plot twist coming and all deaths was predictable. It was more gross than scary in my opinion.
The characters were mostly generic and boring, love "the strange lolitas" style but she is just disturbing not scary.
I don't like the plotwist since it's predictable, feel like they left out an opportunity. We never got to know her true identity we just know she kills people to become their sister and be the ideal siblings however we already knew kind of that from the start...

Spoiler:
The concept and story is quite interesting(at least until last season). The characters are not badly written, Sangwoo the narcissistic serial killer and Yoon bum the mental ill stalker that becomes one of Sangwoo's victims. However the last season was overall just bizarrely disgusting.
As we all know, Yoonbum reminds Sangwoo of his mother. At first you don't think much of it but it seems like Sangwoo kind of like his mother and we get to know in last season his mother raped him. That's just too horrible. The story leaves you Speechless.

Yoonbums Uncle vs Sangwoo?
(The fandom romanticizing Sangwoo):
The Fandom are the biggest Sangwoo simps, Sure i am not going to claim Sangwoo isn't good looking but he is a terrible person. That's one bad thing about the fandom since Sangwoo have done some horrific crimes and the fandom loves him either way because of his good looks.
Shipping Sangwoo with Yoonbum is wrong,
Bringing up another Fandom, Dc comics fans have been in similiar situation where people ship Harley and The joker even though Joker is her abuser. In this fandom, Sangwoo sure can get away with everything! People ship Yoonbum with Sangwoo one of Yoonbums abusers but hate his uncle the other abuser. Don't get me wrong the uncle sucks but so do Sangwoo both are terrible people.
Overall opinion(no spoilers):
The story gets more and more terrifying as it continues, not sure overall how i feel about the story. If you are into Thriller or Horror it's recommended, if you came here for yaoi purposes this is not it. Sure, there is Yaoi in it but shipping it is messed up.

This anime is not for me. I had to endure it, i didn't enjoy it. The only moment i do say i found funny was when in episode 12(Spolier) Ponoka got eaten. This anime failed to entertain me, however if you like childish random comedy this might actually be for you!
If you like this type of comedy, i want to recommend the anime "Teekyuu". I do say it even makes a better job at this type of humor. It has 9 season but fear not all episodes are short and around 2 mins!
The thing i can respect about this anime is the Art style!

I liked the square like objects. I wasn't though a very big fan of how the humans(anime) characters were drawn.

Entertaining, I like the art style and story. We see more "newcomers", that try to make a fresh entrance with their unique art style.. most of us appreciate the change.
Which clearly can be seen in animes that are popular for the moment. The animes Kimetsu no yaiba(Demon slayer) and Boku no hero academia. Both of those are totally dominating the anime community, mostly for being unique and standing out from the crowd.
It might be a new anime era incoming,

More about the anime:
Art style: Unique, cute, colorful and chibi like.
Story: Different, probably the best way to describe it. LEGEND HAS IT that there are 7 wonders, I don't know where I am going with this so I will just stop.
Characters:
Hanako-kun: This little playful smirking boy is awesome. I like the design but you can skip the cape no offense but I don't like the cape too much but it's alright. Mini Spoiler: I wish he didn't have to save Yashiro 24/7, I like her character but she is bit too hopeless sometimes. I guess that's why we like her.
Yashiro: A little helpless and hopeless goofball. I like her but I hope she gets character development in the future. I am almost certain she does judging from the latest Yako-episode, won't spoil.
Minamoto: Another goofball. He is cheerful, direct and protecting. A bit loud yeah.
I recommend you watch the anime or manga.. cause it's pretty decent. I have just read like 2 episodes of the manga so got tons of catchups to do.
Note: Sorry If my english or spelling is a bit crappy. English is not my mother tongue language.
