My first ever review on this site, a review on the adaptation of my favorite visual novel.
After watching 200+ shows, I only decide to review one now, why you may ask? The answer is simple.
This 2 episode OVA actually offends me on a personal level.
Lets talk a bit about the original Visual Novel first shall we?
The original visual novel has some of the most masterful storytelling and setup I have ever had the pleasure of reading through, especially its second installment. It presents the story to you in a wonderful fashion, providing you enough clues and at the same time keeping the mystery going until

you connect the dots yourself. The way the characters acted and the way they moved the story forward was completely insane, yet felt perfectly real. In short, it's an absolute masterpiece.
Now what does this OVA have to offer?
Sex. A lot of sex. Yes, I know the source material is an eroge, but really? 80% of the plot is either skipped over and/or completely retconned just so we can see Natsume-san getting railed just a tad bit longer. Everything that made the source material's plot absolutely amazing is completely absent here, you'll be getting none of the amazing storytelling and suspense the original game had to offer. Instead, the plot (well at least half of it) gets completely spoon fed to you while the sub-par H-scenes completely melt your brain. Art is awful, pacing is awful, characters have been completely dumbed down, and the suspense and mystery is completely put on the backburner.
So should you watch it? As a VN reader no, and as a non VN reader most definitely no. On top of changing most of the plot, and completely throwing away the fantastic writing of the game, it also spoils the culprit of a MYSTERY NOVEL. So not only do you get left with a bad taste in your mouth, but your enjoyment of the source material will be decreased by tenfold. I never thought I would see the day where I give a show a 1/10 rating, but here we are.
Do yourself a favor, and just play the game for god's sake, you won't regret it.
