Wow, this totally caught me off guard. I did not expect that at all, even though I was waiting for some plot twist by the end of the episode. Now it makes sense, since it was odd to imagine Nina suddenly committing murders nonchalantly. I wonder why Johan is okay with somewhat incriminating Nina, since he loves his sister as far as we know.
Wow that was really unexpected. I never really thought that Johan will pretend to be Anna. I thought Johan brainwashed her to do these stuff or her personality changes. But damn, that send chills down my spine. That was perfect!
Gotta admit, I'm not a huge fan of this series, I thought it was alright up until now but WOW totally did not see this plot twist coming, I'm speechless.
Imagining Johan shaving his legs for this right now, I love it lol.
I thought it was their mum and when I saw the poisoned candy i'm like well Johan must of learned this trick from his mum or the mom gives him the candy. I didn't think it was nina at all though because she killed those guys who were torturing grimer and old petrov guy I thought it was johans mum because she was evil but the ending explained everything it was just evil johan crossdressing as nina. Mind Blown! now this is some great story writing
I'm pretty sure this episode shocked and surprised the majority of show watchers, damn just what a tricky and twisting thing we witnessed from Johan, his tactics are just outplaying everyone around him.
This episode pretty much made Johan my favorite villain in all anime I've seen so far
Omg. I had heard the Johan cross dressing theory from the previous episodeβs discussion thread and thought that was ridiculous. Still kind of is but I love it! Haha. I really donβt think they could pull this off with a live action adaptation. I just canβt see Johan mimicking her voice perfectly.
Questions I had about the Prague arc before episode 44- Where is Dieter? The change of Nina's character really come out of no where, Why in ep 43 when Zuk said "Right now... the only peace in my heart.. is you" why did the music continue to be intense even during the closeup of "Nina's face", and why did she have a weird.. but subtle smirk at the end of the scene?
now I understand how and why "Anna" managed to put her hands on the killer candies Johan used to kill the doctors with, waaaaay back in the beginning of the anime
also, how did I not see that coming? i can't recall a single moment nina called herself "anna", she always adresses herself as nina fortner
I was almost suspecting Anna. And then that Monster showed up in the end.
Suke orwhatever his name is such an emotional fool. Grimmer gave him the hunt to don't trust anyone and he again fell for the emotional trap. No wonder he joined police by watching TV. He's capable but he isn't aware about the outside world.
I was not expecting that. Even though I thought Nina had murder 3 people was different I didnβt think much of it. That was a amazing disguise Johan. I am so glad I did not have high expectations for this show because this is amazing and is blowing my mind Rn
Am I the only one who kinda hates the twist in this episode? Iβll admit it surprised the hell out of me at first (and the setup for it was amazing, from using βAnnaβ as his (her?) name, mentioning their mother several episodes prior, the suspected killings/poisoned candy, etc.), but after thinking about it for longer than a couple seconds I thought it was pretty dumb. Like sure, theyβre twins, but even then, fraternal twins donβt look *that* similar. Iβd assume Johanβs physique is also much different than Annaβs (broader shoulders, less womanly-shaped legs/arms), and on top of that, he was somehow able to mimic her voice flawlessly? Not really buying it.
The last scene caught me off guard lol I didn't see that coming. Btw Johan is an amazing character. He is always 10 steps ahead of Tenma and the others. I love him
The whole poisoned candies, getting close to detective Suk and even calling himself Anna (which the real one wouldn't do as she refers herself to Nina Fostner) all makes sense now.
Johan is just on another level. The only thing he did was to disguise as a pretty woman and sit in a bar. And he actually killed 4 or more people and MANIPULATED suk this whole time to get info for him watttt. Just like how he manipulated everyone in the Munich arc. He's so scary.
