AHHH!!!!

This is so tough on me!

What is Kyousuke talking about?! Where is Mio and Haruka?! What with those chains? What is this refrain people are talking about!?

Anyways... Looks like Kud did some pretty bad things in the past... Prison huh...

Read the VN after season 1 ;x

I'll answer your questions without spoiling:
Kyousuke is asking Kud if she remembers the Secret of the World.
Mio and Haruka are gone because of the Secret of the World.
The chains are a symbol of Kud's regret, which is related to the Secret of the World.
Refrain is the unveiling and climax of the Secret of the World.

Alright, well the actual reason Mio and Haruka are gone has something to do with their routes being completed in the anime, and the fact that Riki is approaching the end of Kud's route. It wasn't explicitly explained in the VN, and it wasn't pointed out by Riki in the VN, so I don't quite understand it. However, they are putting a greater emphasis on this, so it will probably have more impact in Refrain when they bring these occurrences up.

I think us VN readers are mentally torturing the poor anime watchers with our constant references to the "Secret of this World".

Rest assured, anime watchers. Be patient, and you shall be rewarded.

Character routes? They're nothing. Tears are gonna flow soon, in season 2.

But Komari is still there. If I want to get technical, then I guess Mio and Haruka don't have any regrets compared to Kud, while Komari still has some regrets. After all, her route has a weak resolution. But I doubt that's the case.

...Are the people here all this crazy/hyped for refrain ?

Yes. It is one of the greatest pieces of literature on the planet and is what makes this show/visual novel so great. If you want to know why, just go to YouTube and either look up my channel (ClannadIsLove) or search "Little Busters! Episode Masato" which is the entire route for Masato (38 minutes long).

That, or search "Little Busters - Refrain" to see the big thing that makes the entire series. It's a 100% complete spoiler, but if you see either of these two videos you'll see why people like it so much.

Honestly, I'm just sick of people going like, "WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT REFRAIN!?" or "Are you this excited for Refrain!?" or your question. Yeah it might be annoying but we know what happens and it excites us, and if you don't understand you shouldn't be talking about it yet. Either read and get excited knowing you're in for a treat when you see it or just stop asking (this is for everyone, and a suggestion).

Ummm I already finished the VN and read refrain,I know how great it is.
I'm just saying the level of enthusiatic here exceed other places o.o

It's not about regrets regarding the resolution of their routes.

Komari's route doesn't get locked in the visual novel, while the other girls' routes do. They seem to be following the visual novel in that aspect. Basically, as Riki approached Haruka's route ending, Mio disappeared, and as he's approaching Kud's, Mio and Haruka disappeared. Komari shouldn't disappear, but Kud would presumably disappear at the end of whatever the next route is. Although, the Little Busters are barely involved in either Kurugaya or Rin's group, but Riki will probably try to call them to help with decision making or something.

What I think is that once Riki is forced to muster up the courage to help each girl out, the previous ones disappear. It could be symbolic of Riki not needing them anymore, but I'm not exactly sure why they're disappearing, and the time they disappear is also a bit vague. A lot of this is my insightful speculation, but the part with Komari is right. I have some ideas for why Komari doesn't disappear, that are related to the Secret of the World. Here's my fun guess lol:

*Edit*
After seeing what SleepingEntity has to say, it seems we have some overlapping ideas, though I think he explained it better. I was definitely close tho ;x

A very minor character, but a character nonetheless.

i.e. Don't expect a Suginami route.

It doesn't make sense, unless the events in Little Busters aren't happening in chronological order. Still, Rin 2 is supposed to be the last route, so that contradicts my theory. How Riki could have a flashback to Kud's route is also kind of weird.
The only explanation is

The flashbacks weren't even in the VN, but maybe it will be explained later. It seems like a sneak preview of what's to come, but I hope it's actually explained later on.

I haven't played the refrain yet, but this episode is stellar with so many foreshadowing moments, caught plenty of them in this episode. Bring so many mysterious vibe to Little Busters!

Emotional scenes are doing their job pretty well and pacing is definitely better. I think I can safely say that this is one of the best episode so far (competing with Haruka and Mio's climax episode) and we don't even met the climax yet. This is a pretty good indicator for the capability of JC to adapt Refrain, and I will say that I am impressed pretty far.

Anyway, I am thinking of creating a special thread here exclusive to anime-only watchers, how about that? This is a pretty good moment to start speculation fest.

As an anime original viewer, this episode was absolutely amazing. Little Busters so far is barely beating the first season of Clannad in my opinion. This episode added some depth to 3 characters (Rin, Riki and Kud) as they confronted their feeling about facing the reality in front of them (lol, P4 reference).
One of the best episodes of anime I've seen in a long time. And Jesus Christ, the VN fan boys should really stop bitching about each time the anime changes things from the visual novel. The fan base seriously needs to stop acting like this is another Umineko, since I'm watching this with no knowledge of the VN and still finding this anime to be a great series with an extremely charming cast of characters.

Does LB have 25 or 26 Episodes, cause MAL says 25 Episodes. Therefore were the Final Date 30th March and the next Anime on this Timeslot (Hentai Prince) could start on 6th April but the Airing of Hentai Prince starts on 13th April , so Episode 26 will be on 6th April?

lol it's kinda funny you said that.
It was an interview with Kawase Kohei (WB representive) and Matsukura Yuji (from J.C staff)
this is part of the interview

Q: what future plan do you have for the anime ?
Kawase : All we can say is we will adapt all the stories,we can go as far as bringing Kud wafter on TV.
Matsukura : It's a good idea, there is a high chance it will happened if we were told to do it.
Kawase : Please wait for more announcement from Visual Art,we will soon see if this was just a joke or not.(laugh).For now,we're working hard and try to adapt everything.
Matsukura : This is a long running project so please be patient and follow us.

If there's a summary of ep. 26,I think it's pretty safe to say that it will be 26 episodes, since all of the future summaries so far are trustworthy.

However, can someone post the summary for 24 and 25 as well? (along with director list,if possible). Since if we're going with ep. 26 summaries,we will see the baseball match in the second season (thus we won't see Rin 1 in the first season either)

If you take a look at the BD/DVD

vol 4 : ep 10,11,12
vol 5 : ep 13,14,15
vol 6 : ep 16,17,18
vol 7 : ep 19,20,21
vol 8 : ep 22,23,24
vol 9 : ep 25,26

vol 9 is 1000 yen cheaper than all the other so I guess it's because vol 9 only have 2 episodes and there is no episode "27" so that made 26 that extra ep they were talking about.

The 1 extra episode isn't related to this season. Most likely an OVA. But if they're saying this season contains 25 episodes and not 26, then most likely the 26th one is the extra episode/OVA which I bet that's what are they trying to imply.

Anyway, 25 episodes of LB is a very good thing.
