If you are lucky enough to catch wild animals, post the pictures here. Pictures taken in a zoo, aquarium and other places like that works, too, as long as they aren't a pet.

As long as they aren't cats and dogs and other normal pets, they should go in the pet category.

well this is the only poisonous snake in Spain around 0.2m, a healthy adult won't die if she bites you, and that one was dead, a car had just run over it. ^_^

today I've got developed my last roll and is not as bad as the last one.

I know is not impresive but is too early to take pictures of bigger animals.

^i love the third one, would be great if it was a lot closer though... insects are good for macro photography.

lol, perfect timing, i'm not sure of the positioning though, might have been better if you sticked with the rule of thirds, but anyway, the content is really good.

Rule of thirds? first time I heard of it, and you are right is not the best position I wish I was on a boat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds

some examples here: http://www.photo96.com/blog/?p=371

i find it more aesthetically pleasing as well. i think it's great to know the composition rules first then break it.

for the photo above?

is your 500mm lens already a telephoto lens? it's quite hard to focus on macro subjects on a telephoto lens.

no this is taken with a 75-300mm zoom lens the closest focus is 1.2m (more less on my knees), for the 500mm is 1.7m and is confortable because is close my height.

When I use the tele I turn the focus ring to the closest and move until is focused, but I need both eyes open not to end on the mud or in the ground.

i see, with regards to your query if you're using a 500mm lens on that duck photo, i think it won't matter that much as long as the positioning were good.. might be better if it's a full-shot positioned on the right

They were wild, but they were kindof used to people, so I could get pretty close.
