There are definitely times where I ship Akane and Ryouga.

Good stuff in this OVA, kinda makes me want to rewatch the whole series again.

As a pause from watching the regular series in its entirety for the third or fourth time, i saw this OVA today because it was the most interesting according to the plot and i remember almost nothing from all the other ones, because in italy they exist on VHS only and have been broadcast probably just once by Mtv in the spring of 2002 (in fact i remembered the one with the shrinking teacher).

This was enjoyable, and the two sisters were likable additions (expecially the younger one). Kinda expected that Happosai could have been behind all of the story even if he appeared only at the very final minutes

Did they run out of budget in the end? The last fight scenes and the ending scenes were pretty much stills with no animation.

Shampoo and Ukyo might act good but they almost always have ulterior motives. I think only Akane is selfless unlike most of the other girls in the series.

Wait, Happosai was the "father"?! Ig the flashback was a red herring. Nice twist even though it makes no sense.

Wish Ranma and Akane properly made up in the end.

Sad the OVAs are over. There are still Movie 3, 2 Specials, Ranma 1/2 Super and the 2008 OVA left to watch though.

I really loved the OP and ED of the OVA. Fun fact, the OVA OP "Koi da!! Panikku" was sung by Yoko Takahashi, the same singer who did A Cruel Angel's Thesis. She also did the TV series ED6 "Friends". She used the alias YAWMIN and these two songs were probably her earliest works.

I would say I enjoy the OVAs a lot more than I thought. The 2 eps arc is entertaining and definitely the best one out of all OVAs. Akane is still a bit annoying same as how Ranma treat her.  Overall the OVAs are really good compared to its TV series.

2-part filler episodes is how they end this OVA. As crazy as this might sound, but I liked these 6 OVA episodes more than the TV show. It didn't show girl Ranma's nipples, which is a plus for me, and it showed Shampoo's nipples, which is another plus for me. The manga just kept showing girl Ranma's nipples, which was annoying because the character is actually a guy, so it's not hot.

Still weird that only 3 episodes are canon, and the other 3 are filler. A bit of a shame that only the 3 episodes of the OVA are canon, especially when I skipped all the filler episodes of the TV show.

Just waiting for October to come, so I can watch the Ranma 1/2 (2024) remake. I watch the Ranma 1/2: Yomigaeru Kioku OVA someday. Don't know when. I've already read the events in the manga. So probably sometime after I finish reading the manga.

A nice finale to this arc and the OVA series, I knew nothing would stop Natsume and Kurumi if Ranma and Akane wouldn’t settle their differences and work together, well they finally did and look what happened, but I actually was enjoying Akane’s solo fight before Ranma showed up, I like seeing her be badass, but in the end teamwork won them the fight which was nice. And wow they actually got me with that flashback, to think Happosai trained not just one girl, but three girls in the OVAs with Anything Goes Martial Arts, it is a bit of a lame reveal since they did it once already with Hinako but I really like Natsume and Kurumi as characters so I can let it slide.

And damn, Shampoo and Ukyo were reduced to caricature’s of themselves in this OVA, it really is sad that they’re written in a way that everything they do has an ulterior motive in being with Ranma lol, but Ukyo is still my best girl anyway, can’t help but love her and her foolishness. And this episode also had a good Ryoga bit too, he left on a journey to clear is mind for the 10th time or something but I liked his moments a lot, and he actually helped Akane train despite what it meant if she won. And sadly I don’t think we’ll be seeing Natsume and Kurumi again even if they promised to meet again at the end since they are anime original characters, but these two episodes were some of the bests in the series and I’ll remember them for that.

And that’s it for the OVAs besides the “movie” and the separate specials/OVAs that came after, of course I plan to hit them all but that’s it for this particular set of episodes, and I gotta say they were all really good, definitely among the best episodes of the series and they’re not even in the original show, unfortunate but I’m glad they were made as OVAs.

And this is also the last anime I finished for 2024, I ended 2023 with two episodes of Ranma 1/2 and I did the same this year, hard to believe I’m still watching it a whole year later but I’m a slow boy lol, but even if I’m slow I did still beat 2023 in the amount of shows watched, making it my biggest year of anime yet, not sure if I’ll beat it in 2025 because it gets tougher every year I do better, but I will definitely try as long as my love for anime never fades away.

Now they they lost is time for training. Akane was easily defeated by Ukyo and Shampoo, they acting like Akane's friends, I knew there were some hidden reasons for that, they are not that good friends, not even friends sometimes. See how Akane didn't invite Kodachi. Ryoga and Kuno didn't take the chance as much as I thought, I thought they were try to fight on Akane's side or something like that, Ryoga did the training but Kuno didn't even appear. That Ranma training and the conversation with his father, I also thought Genma was going to reveal he had something to do with all of that but was not the case. The fight was pretty short and as expected Ranma and Akane won. And the truth about the girls was revealed, they are orphans as I expected and the one that had something to do with this was actually Happosai and not Genma, I forgot completely about Happosai, so glad he appeared so late because this arc was very enjoyable without him. Poor girls, for them is time to go back to their nomad life. They should have stayed, they would be a great addition to the family.
And this is the last episode of these OVAs, there are many more I'm going to watch. I score these OVAs 8/10, were more enjoyable than most of the show because are like early Ranma who was also a 8/10.
