| The thing is, Shirahi in herself isn't nearly a half-bad choice for Uryuu. Her and himself are from the same background and have been to the same orphanage, even. The only thing that really separated them is that Shirahi was adopted earlier than Uryuu, and he was adopted into the Amagami shrine. But had the wheels of fortune turned in a slightly different direction - like the new reality Uryuu woke up into - they could very well be a couple just like Shirahi wished so hard for them to be. Of course, Uryuu eventually is gonna break out of this reality. But I can't say I don't feel any sympathy towards Shirahi and her very honest wish. Feels very unfair towards Shirahi, because Uryuu got to keep his previous memory of the Amagami sisters. He was basically given a clue of how to demolish this reality. But I guess this is fair towards Uryuu himself to leave him with this choice whether to stay by Shirahi's side or not. |
