Hmm, New Years. This anime feels like it wants to celebrate every special occasion on the calendar year in the most memorable way possible. Or at least it attempts to..even under special circumstances.
I have to admit, the online chat stuff was kinda cute. Social media can be so influential in these times and useful.
As usual, some spring cleaning for the annual end-of-year party, and both Fuyutsuki and Himuro get cozy, even holding hands. Sweet. Yukimin finding her big brother versatile with his feelings, and the online New Year's Party is the same overall, yet Fuyutsuki in her high school track pants, Himuro would find her cute in anything. Other than Katori having just moved, the new year's shrine visit for all is a staple i kimono.
The shrine visit where Himuro arrives first and receives bad luck, thank goodness that was a dream, all but the first in the new year. Katori and Otonashi dressed for the occasion like they're dressed for each other, and Fuyutsuki is the most dazzling in her kimono. Once again, just like Nekomi Land, they got separated together, as if fate had intertwined for them, as well as the rest. I've gotta admit, Fuyutsuki and Himuro having their moment is sweet as diabetes. And Komori as a miko to help out in her family business, for Saejima to pass her a charm, it's as if she's admiting their secret relationship as well.
Its been a pretty eventful year thats for sure. The last long break before the new year huh. The irony of a snowman getting cold himself though. The online new years eve party though was a neat idea. Didn't expect super sempai to be a surprise klutz though. Its gonna take Katori quite some time to unpack that much boxes though. The virtual backgrounds were hillarious. That was some serious bad luck that Himuro saw in his dream. Kimono really does bring out the best in people thats for sure. Never thought that Komori's family would run a shrine though. Man she rocked the miko outfit. In the end their first shrine visit of the year sure was a lively one.

Himuro just like me. There’s nothing more beautiful than a woman in kimono. Fuyutsuki looked stunning in hers. Conveniently she and Himuro get “lost” again which serves as another bonding opportunity lol.

That was such a great episode, it even had public unprotected handholding.... seriously though, more couples progression and everyone looked great in their Kimono.
We had like a whole season worth of development in this single episode itself, I mean hand holding and that too extreme kind.. that basically sums it up.
Also I see finally Komori just not brushing Saejima dude off.
The new years is around the corner and everyone is ready to take a break from work.
Everyone decided to hang out in a call and celebrate new years, after that they decided to visit the shrine on new years.
The shrine visit was nice, Fuyutsuki looks amazing in her kimono, even Himuro was shocked lmao. Himuro to the rescue (twice!), man that was super wholesome.
Let the new year start for Himuro, Fuyutsuki and their friends!
Well this was a nice way to visit the shrine, they where blocking the way with their romance but that was nice to watch.
Also Yukimin got more screen time which was nice, even if it was her channel.
Also the voice chat part was funny.
Its New Years time and the whole gang decides to host an online new years party. Everyone whips out the drinks, starting off slow but eventually some of them get drunk. Otonashi being a prime example. Near the end everyone has some type of filter on them during the video call, Otonashi had a voice modifier on that made her sound like she inhaled some helium which was funny, like no one was questioning it.
They all decide near the end of the call to meet up at a shrine for the new years. Everyone but Komori goes as she has to help with her parents with something. Himuro had a not so nice dream to start off with no one turning up to the shrine and him getting very bad luck with every fortune he pulls. Now on the actual visit everyone does turn up with Fuyutsuki being last to arrive but damn when she did, she looked really pretty with Himuro unable to hold it in.
We also see some character progression with all 3 couples at the shrine with some handholding incidents between Himuro and Fuyutsuki multiple times. We also see Komori at the shrine working as a shrine maiden. The shrine everyone is at is her parents house so thats a coincidence. Komori and Saejima had their moment with the protection charm as well!!
Fuyutsuki's birthday is next month so I'm looking forward to that, and so is Himuro for sure. Also he somehow managed to get worse luck on his actually fortune than any of the ones he pulled in his dream lol.
A New Year's episode is always relaxing!! Even though it's still winter... romance is strong in the air! Then again, there's no preferred season when it comes to romance!
I like the intimacy in this anime. Just some relatively casual handholding or similar, a word here and there, that makes it feel like the care for each other.
I agree with several other posters, the girls are very pretty in their kimonos. (though Fuyutsuki is very pretty wearing her old gym pants as well)
Pretty much characters Romance improved a lot.
Fuyutsuki-san looks so gorgeous in her kimono.
They were holding hands like couple 💞💞and they will become couple someday.

this one was pretty great by this shows standard lol Fuyutsuki-san gets mad points for that sly and cool move in the first hand holding but we got 1 but 2 thats crazy for a romcom!
This anime is cute but i didn't really enjoy the romantic moments btw fuyutstsuki and himuro in the shrine it felt banal- idk the exact word to describe it - but i guess they could do better
I'm enjoying the progression between komori and saejima instead it looks more real.
The art is still beautiful as always and the idea of the video calling was good.
This episode was great. I also didn't understand what his sister was doing. I felt bad for Saejima cause Komori wasn't coming, but they met their so, yokatta. Fuyutsuki-san and Himuro-kun are closer to this episode. At least just get married all three pairs or start dating by the end.
