| That's cool that he has done that, but liking tweets on Twitter does not hold a candle to actually featuring this content in the series itself. I'd appreciate it more if it had been included in the anime, but personally I'm at a spot where I'm very hard on anime for its LGBT representation. There are times where the relationship is not explicit but there's a lot of subtext to support it, and then there are other times where the potential is there but it's mainly fandom doing the heavy lifting and canon is lacking anything that's worth commemorating. I thought that "Buddy Daddies" had even less of that than "SK8" (and I already have my doubts with "SK8"). However, at the end of the day, it's still cool that this series chose to focus on a story of two men raising a child together regardless of the nature of their relationship. I guess the producer showing online support for a more romantic relationship is a cherry on top. |
