I kinda like the Egyptian themes that went along with this episode.

But man, they really made Azir a Big Bad this season. At least this show does have a credible antagonist to challenge against Tougo. The plot definitely picked up more in these recent episodes and they want Tougo to prove himself as worthy.

You know things are about to get real when they start the opening song before the actual opening.

The Victory Kizuna Buster makes its grand return but the mandatory group victory pose that comes bundled with it doesn't? Now they really do need to defeat Azir.

I'm glad that even though Yidhra's become too used to the Power Rangers protocol to be fazed anymore (which is hilarious), there's still no shortage of confused otherworlder reactions. Welcome to the squad, Raniya.

Ooof trying to stretch it out with the Kizuna five origin at the end. With 2 episodes still left that can't be good.

Amen Vs Kizuna Red Cross counter! transition to the op lol

lmfao Lowji was quick to cover Teltina's ear. Modern Kamen Rider and Sentai battles are full of sfx to market toys.

Azir was corrupted by the Mana Seed that his "butler" Vidan gave him, how he would go about implementing his ideals was twisted.

He doesn't have The World! Yihdra figured out Azir's illusion of stopping time was really him stopping the sand with mana, and something that could absorb mana like Lowji's sword can counter it.

All five heroes are assembled so they can use Victory Kizuna Buster and Maximum Kizuna Kaiser to their full potential.

Kizuna Blue is the leader and first member of the team and was a 10 year old CEO. Poor Emily/Kizuna Yellow
Emily/ Kizuna Yellow going from delinquent to teacher.... is that a Kamen Rider Fourze reference (though Gentaro was more of the delinquent aesthetic, he was not a "bad boy" ikyk)
We see Pethagoras working on Kizuna Silver's device.

@Fortress_Maximus I feel like the delinquent to teacher pipeline is not that uncommon in Japanese media. Wasn't the protagonist of GTO also a delinquent?

Why cut the episode short for five minute filler content. It's fun seeing kizuna 5 interactions but in the middle of a fight when it was getting good. Red & team v Amen probably the best fight in this series so far.

Quite obvious Azir didn't have any bad intentions. Combating racism and seeing your own father died pretty valid justification and those demons striked at the right time. Hopefully things will end good for him & Raniya.

Lowji covering Teltina ears while random bs lines were rampaging was really good. And he also was useful in countering the sand time stop thing without that they would have zero chance. Nice job on Yhidra to figure that out too.

Red reminds me of a certain character from a certain series. It's rather weird and similar.

Anyway, I'm glad to see A's background story, but can't believe the people under him are so unreasonable, that in the end, they even killed his father. Such ungrateful residents should be punished...

In the end, someone used his powerlessness...

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I liked how they changed things up with each episode. First we got the opening scene playing alongside the OP and at the end we also get an origin story of the Kizuna Five. Kizuna Blue being the leader is an interesting concept considering how in most Super Sentai series/Power Rangers the Blue Ranger is second in command to Red Ranger's leadership.

@WaterMage Cos it's NEVER filler for this show but a set up for a payoff. You should've been far enough into this show by now to know that every flashback to KizunaFive is referencing a certain something that is related to what is needed to solve the crisis that's currently happening in the isekai.

@nanaholic this was far longer than other ones and placed at end and still isn't complete. There was entire episode with Togo's brother which although isn't bad just isn't super important to the plot. So how can know before it ends.

@WaterMage I won't spoil the manga but to say just keep watching until the end of the season for the payoff where everything ties together. The entire episode 8 about Togo's adopted family is way more important than you may think now.

They are there for a reason and yes they are important to the plot and characterisation, they are not fillers.

This show is so fun, makes me smile lol
I loved that post-credit scene, we need more interactions between the Kizuna Five members. I can't believe that Green isn't the older member lol, and now we know Red is 18, that's nice, it means the protagonist is actually an adult (young adult ofc but still).
Sorry if my english is bad (っ˘▽˘)っ~~~
Btw, cry about it.

Ah man I like Red and the Kizuna five’s backstory but NOT mid fight wtf. That last 7 minutes should’ve been finishing up this fight lol. Just a weird way to leave off on a cliffhanger

Lmao at Yihdra covering her ears because of how loud and obnoxious the otherworlders’ fight was. But at the same time, she and the others have got used to things as well. The way they all got their own zord today was dope and ofc the kizuna friendship blaster scene.

I figured Azir was being manipulated by that butler. Hopefully he and Raniya get a happy ending they deserve.

@nanaholic I have nothing to complain so far, I am enjoying it plenty this is my favourite new show this season. I just said one small personal annoyance. If it ties together the its better.

Also as you said you are manga reader is there any chance of seeing Yhidra in sentai suit scene this season.

@WaterMage One of the best thing about this manga is the author just came out last week during the show's radio show and said he had already written the ending first before he started serialising the story and he worked backwards from that ending towards the start of the story, so there's like absolutely no filler in the story or wasted chapters/arcs in this manga - only occasional weird pacing issues now and then which is understandable since this is his first long serialised manga. This is one of those spots and the anime is in a way fixing some issues of the manga, but it is in no way useless.

Unfortunately we won't see Yihdra's suit this season. It will have to be like a season 3 with the pace of how they animate the manga volumes..

love that despite the serious action combat they still find ways to add bits of comedy in, when the guys went at it all fisticuffs I was literally like holy shit the amount of passionate name-calling from the gears are so loud and obnoxious that panning to Lowji covering Teltina's ears I was like omg he gets it and then Yihdra makes her remark 😂
Raniya getting confused with everything too was also amusing ahahhahaha

2 more episodes left they're not gonna wrap up everything by then especially with how next episode is a continuation of the battle and possibly the outcome of it too, if anything I feel like they'd want this anime to carry on after one season which errrr tbh I guess is alright because this anime has a healthy balance of it's serious moments and lighthearted funny aspects

despite Azir being evil, I like that from his character design you can tell he ain't evil like since birth or something, he has that kinda character design that you know has some kinda issue but when things resolve will actually get better again

OMFG! I can't stop laughing with this show. Almost every single episode is a blast to watch, but this one takes the cake. The way the rest of the crew was losing it over the ridiculous fight sequence. Talk about a chef’s kiss. Still, my favorite episode has to be the one where Togo and Yihdra did the nasty and had that awkward post-nut clarity the morning after. I have to say this one has become my guilty pleasure of this season. I’m glad I gave it a chance! 🥰🥰

@lawragatajar Upon reflection, this being a GTO reference makes more sense.
