Liam's kingdom in a nutshell. Tbh, this is how I imagined it would be like for the season finale. What I didn't expect is Sheila taking a spotlight in this.

Didn't get the impression for a season finale imo. Liam did come quite far though in his adventures. From some kid to a kingdom ruler.

Princess Flora joining Liam in his efforts to expand his kingdom, and in comes dragoons from Quistador, led by 19rh Princess Sheila Austreim fearing Guardian Radon...and wanting a duel just to trade blows, Liam can only understand the simplest of explanations, as such with a possible alliance from one of the 3 neighbouring countries, and is simple to deal with (at least to Liam's standpoint). Since Jamil and Palta has sent princesses, Shelia wanting a military non-agression pact, and this easily slides through for a deal.

The Kingdom of Liam Radon, supplemented by Liam's magic, and the natural resources nearby of mithril ores and magic crystals, some are good, some are bad. And with the arrival of Bruno to further improve relations, the lessons learnt from Scarlet and Radon's thinking, Liam's kingdom has its first neighboring alliance, and more surprises are in store for its new ruler to learn and do more.

Yap, yap. continue yapping. This show is incredibly boring, and a disastrous wasteland of reused ideas done poorly.

Probably one of the better episodes of the show but honestly the bar's been set to such a low level already that it's not exactly impressive either, lol.

I liked that soundtrack they played at the very end right before the end of the episode though. And the Op was too good for the show too, xD.

Yeah, 4/10. It wasn't disastrous but the carbon copy nature of it just made it too boring. Having it in the background while doing something else was the way to go for the most bit, sadly.

The dragons sure were um... rather small, are they sure the thing they were riding are actual dragons?

Liam's magic kingdom is impressive. He also formed first alliance with Quistador will only benefit him in the future.

We'll see what happens next if this ever gets a 2nd season.

I theorize that Radon might reproduce asexually (like komodo dragon and some lizards), and that's why Radon switch sex all the time, and that's why Radon is the only parent of Radon's children. Radon has no mating partner.

Do you know what this ending feels like? Just like when I played Empire Earth 2 or any similar game on a campaign mode. It all ends when the objective is completed.

In this case, it was Liam and Radon making totally clear to everyone who holds power... Subtlety. Now, only the brother is the one who would dare to touch him. But we won't know for sure since the series ended today.

I'm not disappointed at all. But this can't be more than a 6. It's fine, it had eye candy at times, it was a powerful mc discovering what he can do with magic. And, I still think that Reina was the best of the girls, closely followed by Scarlet.

Overall, enjoyable, just like those strategy games I used to play in my computer... And that's it.

This was easily the worst Isekai I've ever seen, might even be a contender for one of the worst anime I've ever seen.

The season finale was incredibly sloppy just like the rest of the show. It feels like in all the 12 episodes we've seen, we got basically no where šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø.

This anime seriously has me thinking not to watch any more poorly animated slop anymore. I'm going to carefully pick the next weekly anime I watch next season.

Weak ass ending.

The dude who gave Liam the grimoire ring in the first place... never showed back up.

we never saw his parents for the last like, half of the season.

Zero development after characters show up for their one episode.

Trash

3/10 overall. I'd score it lower but trash below 3 is abysmal on my list.. this was barely over that line.

Loli radon carried the show.

Well, whatever. It did seem to turn into low budget nation building. I think it should have focused on.. SOMETHING. Yeah, that was the real issue with this, it never found a plot.

It's based on the LN. The anime covers, I think, the first 3 novels.

I really enjoyed this anime and I actually wish they made 24 episodes.

And I am hoping for a second season too.

I does not serve the 5.97 MAL rating, it deserves to be rated higher, just proving all the shows I like, are never appreciated for how good they are.

I rated it a 10 "Masterpiece".
Note: I donā€™t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Honestly, boring Af. Since some ep now, the story is just.. Non-existent. It's like we're following Liam discovering a new spell, leveling his mana, talking with a new character from another kingdom and.. That's all. So, yeah, nothing else to say, just boring till the end.

this one was fun, a warm n fluffy show with little to no huge conflicts that weren't easily trounced by the massively OP MC. there wasn't even any huge, bloody, and gore-filled fights. just a pretty and entertaining show with a smattering of ecchi dusted around here and there.

if this show ever gets a 2nd Season i'll be highly surprised. kinda like Land of Leadale, it'll probably end up a 12ep promo anime for the source materials' sales.

after reading the first 19 comments on the finale? i find the vast majority of y'all hyper-over-critical and frankly... blind to the comparisons out there in the past 30+ years of anime history.

@Moppit got it right with this part, "I found this more watchable than "Isekai Cheat Magician" and "The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases." at least Moppit had something to compare Liam's show with.

let's look at shows with MANY similarities to Noble on Brink of Ruin! How a Realist Hero Rebuilt a Kingdom, 8th Son Are You Kidding Me, TenSura, Headhunted to Another World, Faraway Paladin, High School Prodigies Have it Easy Even in Another World, The World of Otome Games is Hard for Mob Characters, In Another World with my Smartphone, and Moonlit Fantasy.

what do these titles have in common? MC(s) from a modern Japan/world are transported or reincarnated in some way and become or are naturally OP in some way. their new worlds are fantasy fiction based. the protagonists are nigh-on immediately involved in national or local politics for various reasons. also they're 'nation builders' in one way or another. either gaining lands of their own through, conquest, inheritance, or that was the very reason they were brought to this new word... to 'fix it' somehow.

now with THOSE titles to compare Noble on the Brink of Ruin with? Noble is mediocre and average at best. the 'nation building' in Noble is quite simplistic. 'the nation' simply drops into Liam's lap. Liam does have to work hard-ish on his OPness, but obviously his 'hard work to become OP' is just fast repetitions of simple acts. Liam is creative but short-sighted and the show goes into crap detail on the details of 'nation building', unlike most of the other titles i mentioned. Otome Games goes into details with the sociology of the game world that MC ends up in, but the details are quite sketchy in and of themselves. Liam ends up on 'the ass end of an inheritance' but Smartphone and Moonlit skip that entirely and 'things just happen' to those guys. but Moonlit's MC DOES have to work at a LOT of things and has TONS of setbacks, unlike Liam. of course we all know TenSura's MC Rimuru DOES have the background to 'build things up' but his people do all the work for him, after he sets up the 'ground floor' so to speak. but Rimuru DOES have a great deal of international relations to handle and supernatural superiors to defeat or placate. while Liam is... shrug... that's a 'soft sell' on the international front for him; soft, squishy, and amorphous. Paladin glosses over SOME details and HS Prodigies just gives tiny thumbnail sketches... not unlike stickman art for international issues. Headhunted works a decent amount on the nation building but only details the issues directly influencing its MC's situational problems as they come up in the story. an 'overall clash or improvement or change' is just brushed off with 'something something result or conflict was stopped by his action(s)'.

so, is Nobel on the Brink of Ruin a total suckfest in comparison to those titles, some massively popular with dozens of episodes more than Nobel and years' worth of fanatical followers? Nobel doesn't totally suck. want to know why? it was pretty, the art was well done. the animation wasn't terrible. the writing is where Nobel falls short. either the light novelist is a lazy author, or the screenwriters were just 'phoning this one in' to finish the project on time, under budget, and with as little amount of effort as possible.

so visually this show rates a 6 as above average. the enjoyment factor and fun of the story bumps it up to a 7. the shallow story keeps this show from going beyond a 7 into the 8 range. so without anything MAJOR as a detriment or positive for Noble? it is a 7. not a total suckfest, but definitely NOT Anime of the Year or even Best Anime of Winter 2024/25 Season. this show was just a fun piece of entertainment. :D

Overall pretty good and enjoyable, looking forward to next season! I hope Liam can see his master again. Just like Radon, I'm interested to see more what he's gonna do.

This show does copy from another shows a lot, they even have the dracula from the slime anime lol.

Does that makes me hate the show? No, it's pretty enjoyable in its own way. Liam just like magic, invented many things because of that and most of the leaders are smart(except some of his family) makes it not too political show.

I feel that many people nowadays watch shows they don't enjoy just to bash them.

4:20 this new princess is wild šŸ’€ her laugh is annoying tho

Oh crap, I didnā€™t even realize this was the season finale šŸ¤£ I thought there was still one more episode left after this.

My 3rd Winter 2025 anime finished! Once again, I really got Tensura vibes watching this. So much world building especially with Liam giving everyone names and building his own country. Wish we had more harem moments with Asuna, Jodi, and Scarlet. Great girls! šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Well, this is my second winter 2025 anime finished, and I have to say- yet another ā€œisekai fantasy anime with OP protagonistā€ but I did appreciate that there was a more ā€œpoliticalā€ side to the world building that rarely gets explored, which did give it a nice element that give more depth than just ā€œadventuring and killing monstersā€

It wasnā€™t anything spectacular but to be fair- I wasnā€™t expecting it to be; I was just expecting something enjoyable.

Overall, a nice show and one that was worth the watch. Highly doubt the show will get a season 2, but at least it ended at a satisfactory point so Iā€™m not disappointed with where they ended the story- Iā€™ve seen more awkward endings.

With little, if any, tension or actual challenge for the MC, the season ended up coming across as just a bland series of events. The Dracula seemed to be the biggest issue and it was handled pretty quickly. I respect Liam's continuously growing skill set, but perhaps there is something to be gained story-wise from him not having the right skill and application for the challenge within 24 screen-minutes of getting the challenge, or even worse, before getting the challenge. Because Liam was never really challenged, we never got to see his emotional reaction to adversity. We mostly got moments of contemplation before he had a new stroke of genius or surprise as how cool magic is.

The change from moments of rising tension and release helps a story, and unfortunately, there was very little variation in this one.

This show is great for just relaxing, though, and I can watch it with my daughter without worrying she'll get scared or see anything too graphic. If I consider her the main demographic, I'd give the show an 8, but for me, it'll be a 6.

And they lived happily ever after (except his brother) I guess? Ehh what can you say pretty amateurish all around, if it was revealed a bunch of aspiring middle school animators wrote and drew this I wouldn't be surprised. Still don't know how they got Saori Hayami to be in this, though I guess she wasn't very busy this season.

They finally finished this boorish of a series. This was a hard core bad in many ways, and I'm glad it's over.
No to season 2. There are better series out there.. lmao

I like the character of the new princess, but yeah, most characters are meh when you think about it.

It started cool, then went awry in ep2, and so on...

3/10

P.S. I also didn't expect it myself. I like the genre very much but this... šŸ¤®
CrazyButNot4UMar 18, 6:24 AM
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

The only thing going for this anime is its great lineup of voice actors, everything else is garbage. The plot is unoriginal, the pacing is wack, the animation quality is low, the soundtrack is nothing to write home about, the characters have little to no depth, and the voice lines are uninspired. It's like combining Dainanaoji and Tensura (both are vastly superior shows), and failing miserably. A waste of perfectly serviceable voice actors. 4/10.

Meh I canā€™t really say Iā€™ll miss this. The princess and Asuna were the best things about it, other than that, it was a shittier Tensura mixed with 8th son. Had some interesting moments but for the most part it was just subpar. Liam completed his objective and now everyone in the surrounding region knows how powerful he is. Other than that, idk what we got out of this

This show is so fucking boring.

The main concern is the fact that this show is too safe. It doesn't stray away from any tropes or try to do anything new. There's also the issue where anytime a problem pops up, it's solved within five minutes at the very least.

ah the naruto way toward new alliance.
Fast paced, nothing's hard for mc, but appreciate the short processes, & worldbuilding where elements build off each other.
Magic & nation building can be fun, but mc needs some story or challenge. easy average watch.

Gotta have an ojou sama with the villainous laugh. I like Sheila, she's amusing. "Best way to understand each other is through intercourse but can't do that cause you are a child and I'm a virgin" lol. The magic crystal forming explanation was nice. And ofc Liam can easily make use of it thanks to the abudance of magic in his city and the dustbox. Felt like another episode rather than a finally. I quite enjoyed watching this anime. Just the type of generic harem fantasy I like. Doubt it'll ever get a new season but sure do hope so.

I had lost all respect for this show episodes ago, butā€¦ BUTā€¦ naming the kingdom ā€œLiam Radonā€ made my opinion of it somehow even worse šŸ˜‘ How incredibly lazy-chuuni-cringe can this story possibly be? It couldnā€™t put forth even a shred of effort by tryingā€¦ even just a little ā€¦to come up with something, ANYTHING better šŸ˜“ Even a combination of the names, ā€œLiadonā€ maybe, at least SOUNDS plausible as the name of a kingdom, instead of ā€œWheeee, look at my city, Uber-Chad-Land, isnā€™t it the bestest?!ā€ šŸ˜„

also, the naming of the kingdom is really lame. I wouldn't want my name as the kingdom name though, it's kinda embarassing to hear.
