Despite the gender difference, both manga revolve around nerdy, bullied, and unpopular leads that from day to night turn into the most beautiful and popular kids in school with the help of their already 'cool' senpai(s).

same author so there are similar character traits and art style.

same situation, the main guy has been rejected due to the superficiality, stupidity, and cockiness of all girls and ends up being traumatized by it. He then works hard and becomes the most handsome and superficially good looking guy to fit the superficial tastes of modern day women. Basically both stories are all about being traumatized then becoming handsome to get all the girls, except here it is shoujo. However, they are both spoken through the male protagonists view.

Few similarities, but same..."feeling" from both mangas. Just a warning though, CyBoy is a shoujo, but Thunderbolt Boys is a yaoi. You have been warned. Kiyosumi (Cy) and Nobita (TB) were dorky, geeky characters who were used and teased by everyone. Something happened in their lives (Kiyo was rejected by a girl he liked and Nobita was forced to save a school program), that caused them to want to change their selves. After the transformation, they're one of the most popular people in school. Both of them are comedy-type manga, and they're both really funny. But TB is a yaoi, so tread with caution. ^J^

The females in both manga are very similar. They are ignorant to somethings, are diffrerent from the rest of the girls, don't care for looks, are very relaxed; most of the time, have a care for boys, etc. They also look very similar. In both mangas, the male lead is very affected by the female. I really enjoyed both titles!

Both these series are written by the same author, and although Venus Capriccio is much more fleshed out due to its longer length, they both still have a similar style. Try them both!

Both mangas have extremely original story lines and even more exceptional art. Story wise, they share a main male lead who has to put on a facade as a cool, manly person for one reason or another. Both male leads have a main character with some sort of "flaw" where in Otomen, the main lead has feminine hobbies, while in PSI boy the main lead is socially awkward. In addition to similar male leads, in both mangas there is a best friend that helps the lead protect his true identity, and a girl who the male has romantic feelings for and, in turn, is inspired  read more
