Unfortunately, I don't find 'rapey' vibes to be funny. At all.

Crap. Too much rape (which is very rare in yaoi, don'tchaknow?!)

Bare-bones story - a poor excuse for sex scenes.

Certain elements worked brilliantly, but towards the end it felt far too rushed.

Surprisingly moving, towards the end.

This manga started off so well (see the anime). Perhaps the mangaka lost her way somewhere, but I felt the characters (esp. Kō) went down the wrong path, one that felt neither natural nor realistic. Futaba, who started off so promisingly (like everything else, it seems), became whiny and weepy, and Kō became downright cruel.

In the final chapter, Futaba and Kō ended up in the perfect way... if we're talking about the people they were at the beginning of the manga. About half-way through, something changed, and I feel that Futaba should have ended up alone, cruel though it may sound.

Anyway, I enjoyed the first four volumes, and I don't regret reading this.

An interesting manga, to be sure. Really, Fumi and Akira's relationship is the selling point, and it makes the manga worth sticking with; and in the end I did like the other characters, too, especially Kyōko.

Honestly, though, I felt that the conclusion was a little forced.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. For me, it got funnier as it went along (with some downright hilarious moments), and the final volume was very moving.

Some pointless 'humour' took away from the drama, and I think there should have been at least one more death (I felt a little cheated out of a badass death scene), but overall enjoyable.

Some parts better than others. Ryuzaki is great. The final scene is brilliant. The description of the fourth crime scene will stay with me forever.

Good stuff. The film is better; makes Togawa likable.

Well, I mean, I'd run away with someone, too, if they raped me, sooo...

No rape, no sexual assault (apart from a thug's daydream), just two people falling in love. I'm not too sure what the titles means exactly, though that's my only problem.

Not enough to get to know the characters and their relationships, plus a shoe-horned sexual assault. Could be good, but it would need many, many more chapters.

Lighthearted, inoffensive fluff. Sweet without being saccharine.

Retains the fluff from the previous volume. More depth given to the relationship. A sweet confession at the end, with some suggestive artwork.

The ending was disappointing. It wrapped up far too quickly.

I would have also loved to have followed Itaru's story more than we did...

Shinya is the best character, without a shadow of a doubt. I loved him in the manga, too. The quality of the story is lifted whenever he is present, especially if he is interacting with Guren.

Not particularly good or exciting. Kazuki seems to really love Elle, though, and it's only three volumes long, so there's that, too... Maybe if the over-the-top comedy wasn't present (and totally obnoxious), then it'd be worth my time. Who knows?

Overall, this is bad. There's no depth to it. Perhaps if we had a better writer - and, like, thirteen more volumes - this is the type of story that could be great: about love and boxing, and a love of boxing. Who knows?

It seems rather obvious that this was a collaborative affair. There is a lot to like here. I can see how progressive this must have been (and still is, in fact). I enjoyed it rather a lot.

The English release (and, it seems, the Japanese release) does not contain 6 chapters, but 5. I finally read the final chapter (the 'extra' chapters) on 05/10/2017.

This really makes you question whether or not Tomie is the 'bad guy'. She can't help having to regenerate all the time... Who knows how long she's lived, and how many times guys have gone crazy and chopped her to bits? She doesn't force them to go crazy; they just lose it after spending time with her.

Maybe two weaker stories don't detract from the strength of most of them, especially the arc beginning with 'Photo', which was brilliant.

'Boy' was also a great, creepy tale, with more than just gore to make a girl feel uncomfortable.

Excellent.

Second half better than the first. Isobe becomes more sympathetic, and Koume becomes more complex. The explicit nature of the sex scenes becomes... more explicit.

The art and composition were brilliant. The dialogue is realistic.

Spectacular. This is easily the best manga I've read. Incidentally, it's also my favourite. Imagine that.

I don't believe in perfection in fiction, but if it exists, then look no further than Utsubora.

I have read the entire manga + chapter 20 in the omnibus volums (Galaxies). I have listed only 19 chapters here to avoid confusion.

Definitely overrated. It's compelling enough, but there's not much substance. Hardly tear-jerking, as many readers suggest.

Volume one contains one of the best kisses I have ever seen in manga. The pacing, the reveal, the train going by - I actually heard the train! So brilliant.

Some lackluster moments, but undoubtedly compelling. Some brilliant panels, as always.
