Despite a build up of romance, it really failed to deliver in the end. While there was some additional plot advances compared to the manga, the ending was mostly the same..

Kind of expected this but the parts not adapted in the anime were just ok. The earlier parts were pure fluff with the other girls not ever being used outside of some cameos and maybe a bit of additional detail to some side characters. The part after the anime had some good parts (the chief's background) but was long and drawn out and introduced even more characters (Urara, Kaori) that ended up being rather meaningless. The main females and goddesses barely got any development and because of the plot didn't interact with the MC.

All-in-all, while I enjoyed it and it certainly had strong moments, there were too many characters and not enough development. The romance parts were very weak as well. I won't re-read this series.

I really enjoyed the characters but I do feel like the show hit a plateau at some point. Doesn't mean it was bad but it never really got 'better'. There were definitely some nice moments in the manga but most of the strongest moments were presented in the anime. Still great to continue with the characters after the anime!

I think all of the characters were underdeveloped. Not necessarily individually (though there was some of that too) but felt like the romance parts between the characters could have been stronger.

It's a shame because there was a really good foundation for most of the cast. Had the creator fleshed out the relationships (that took so long to form) a little more, this could have been one of my favorite manga/shows ever!
