[-] while the main cast are well written, side characters and antagonists are often given very tropey personalities and motivations if given any at all. the "big bad" of this story is basically just the illuminati, in 87 chapters very little has been revealed about them, and not in a good way, for an antagonist to be intimidating they need to be at least somewhat present in the story. the artist does not know how to use google to look at references for what they are drawing. the lectures are often shoehorned in as poorly disguised deus ex machina, while the idea of calling back to a lecture to solve the current issue is good, its only actually shown once, every other time the lecture is not shown until he is applying it, if it was foreshadowed more it would be far more interesting, the author clearly knows this too they just are either under time constraints and cant plan that far ahead, are lazy, or just straight up lack the writing ability, whatever it is, its missing potential.

Cooking manhwa MC is super op hero who defeated the Demon King in another world and then wished to come back to his old world and open a restaurant and the food that he makes taste like s*** but it has good effects and he doesn't like fighting so he feeds the food to the people of Earth to try and make them stronger because he's like super strong like strongest on the planet and everyone else is weak he doesn't want to fight so he just wants to make them strong so they can protect the planet and he can just cook his restaurant he's like the god of swords and victory in bizarre food it's an interesting idea but for a cooking manhwa the food isnt really appetizing due to you know the concept and then the action is okay but it feels a bit confused whether it wants to be an action or like a cooking slice of life it's just somewhere in the middle and then it does both worse than if it just focused on one the plot is decent the characters are okay they have distinct personalities that much can be said I don't really care about anyone but I like the mc and it's entertaining so sure

typical idol manhwa, the regression part is... fine? its not really necessary to the story, other than the Strange foreshadowing about someone else who also remembers the past timeline and wants to help him get first (seriously, why include this plotline thats so dumb and unnecessary, probably going to drop in rating if they actually do it)

nothing special but its entertaining enough and the guys are cute so sure, whatever. only like 1 notable female character in the show so romance seems very unlikely, unless it goes the bl route, but it doesnt seem it will, unfortunately

[+] Most of the main cast have unique enough personalities to each other for you to remember who is who, which IS a low bar, but many manhwa in the genre fail to meet it anyway.
[-] MC is just straight up not that interesting, which isn't unusual in Martial Arts manhwa but is a problem when there is no clear villain or conflict
[-] No clear antagonist or conflicting force against the MC and friends, MC is demonstrated to be so far above anyone else that any conflict is laughable and any potential tension is automatically set to zero anytime hes around, most "antagonists" are shown to be laughably incompetent and are dealt with in a few chapters at most. While this typically isn't a problem with childcare manhwa due to them being more slice of life based, this manhwa in particular fails to focus on either an action plot or a slice of life plot and therefore develops neither it's protagonists or antagonists for either aspect to be especially interesting.

With that being said, it's still a fun read, there's just not anything that seperates it from every other "good but not great" martial arts manhwa that exists. I see the plot getting boring eventually, which can be solved by introducing actual conflict or developing the main characters personalities more, but for now it's still entertaining.

good read and all, my only real gripe is that theres almost no reason for this to be an isekai. i straight up forgot a few times because its completely irrelevant to the story

[-] Despite this story being a loser to OP story archetype, the MC getting stronger mostly happened offscreen and his powers are not explained in any meaningful way, the novel does a better job with this, especially making the cave part far more interesting, but thats the novel, this is still definitely a drawback of the manhwa.

Enjoyment: 9.5/10 (includes reading a few chapters of the novel for more context of what happens in the cave, likely would be lower without that)

mc is assassin, gets pwned by his master, reincarnates as tsundere strong dudes grandson, trains and becomes strong with quite a few "omg no ur weakk smh!" plot conveniences.. is a good leader and communicator despite being an assassin in his past life... yells during sneak attacks instead of being quiet... its entertaining though, and the character development of the side characters is decent
