Hatsuyuki said: From a sport perspective Free is really a bad anime, just try to compare it with Haikyuu or Kuroko no Basuke, it doesn't hold a candle to them. It does satisfy fujoshi lust I guess so that's why they keep pumping out more of this trash.
kuroko is not as great as a sports anime compared to free so idk what you're talking about lol. haikyuu is overall better in sports but free! has better character development
keep in mind, i'm not a fujoshi nor did i watch any sports anime for the male characters so saying free! is just good for "fujoshi lust" is extremely ignorant.
you dropped eternal summer halfway. it's sad because that one was the best free! season out of the two :o
That's what happens when the main focus of the season is forced homosexual melodrama instead of actual sport.
no, season 2 is focused on haru's growth and makoto's resolve for his ambitions. i don't know how people can interpret it differently unless they're too distracted by the muscles.
you might as well say kuroko was too focused on the yaoi as well if free! was too gay.

I'm still watching but I'm really disappointed too. :( Rei is my fav though, and I'm just really sad about this.

As a Free! fan, I gotta say that we really don't need any more Free! We got two seasons and all those movies; I'd rather KyoAni put their resources towards something else. *cough*Nichijou S2*cough* I'll still watch it and enjoy it tho, lol.
the fact that they put asahi on the same level as makoto in the PV makes me think that s3 will have a lot of focus on him as well, bumping him up to be in the main cast ☺️

it's not a luls show tho :p you might end up enjoying it
I have waited for a PV for a loooong time now! Excited ^^
Oh my, they are finally uni students.. and it seems to me that they are all on different teams. It's going to be exciting to finally see more of Ikuya and Asahi, and not just from HS and the latest Take Your Marks special movie. Since Ikuya seems to really look up to Haru and his style of swimming it's probably going to get intense, and because Rin doesn't really know them that well.
I want to know why Rin came home from Australia as well hmm
