I was bamboozled, lied to and deceived about this anime. With the amount of people raving and ranting about how good this anime was, obviously it piqued my interest and I just had to give it a shot.
Episode 1...boring. Episode 2.... boring. Let me keep watching because surely by the 7th episode the story will get interesting. By the time I realized that reviews about this anime were nothing short of lies from the pit of hell, I had already wasted precious time and watched seven episodes.

This review for me is difficult because this was one of the OI manhwas I had stored in the shelves as a must read due to the amount of great reviews it has. However, I quickly came to realize that the fact that some people called this work a "masterpiece" was nothing but hogwash. The story started off amazing, I would say the first 20 chapters or so. Art: 10/10. Solitary Lady has such beautiful art its not even an overstatement to write that. The FL is beautifully drawn as well as other characters. The art change in the second volume/season didn't deter me as it did others. In fact I thought it gave the characters a more mature feel. Well done to the artist.

Art: 7/10. The art is definitely that 90s shoujo vibe. If you like Fushigi Yugi, Red River, etc type art, you will like this one as well.
Characters: 2/10. I could not stand the FL in this one. At some points during reading, I kept hoping the author would remove/kill off the female lead and introduce a new likeable one. 90s shoujo manga tend to write the most aggravaging, annoying, headache-inducing female leads in the world of fiction. I first read this manwha around the age of 13-15 and I hated it back then. I decided to pick it up again ten years later and I still detest it as much as I did back then.
