Literature/Other • The whole story for Tama/Stray Cat is an homage to the popular 1983 horror novel by Stephen King.
• Reimi Sugimoto and her dog's murder is actually based on the urban legend "The Licked Hand" or "The Doggy Lick", known all over the world. It's interesting to note that this story was recently turned into an internet creepypasta, but it was featured in a 90s manga. The original version, called "Bedtime for Sam" by author David Brown (D.B. Martin) in the early 1980s.

• Bruno Bucciarati: Bucciarati is just another name of buccellati, an Italian kind of cookies from Sicily island. Buccellati are made of figs, almonds, chocolate, peach jam and honey.
• Narancia Ghirga: His name is a contraption of the words "Una" (meaning one, and yes, it's the same as Trish's family name) and "arancia", "orange". So his name literally translates as "An Orange".
• Guido Mista: Mista means "mixed" and references the dish "Insalata mista" (mixed salad). It's really popular in Italy, to the point that many families constantly have it on their plates as a side dish.
• Leone Abbacchio: The Abbacchio is a typical Italian dish eaten especially during Easter, and it's based on spiced, floured and sliced pieces of lamb (it's one of the dishes that Tonio gives to Okuyasu).
• Fugo Pannacotta: Panna cotta is an Italian dessert, very simply and tasty, it consists of a body of boiled cream and gelatine, so dense it stands on its own, covered in caramel, wild berries jam or chocolate. Originally from the north-Italian cuisine, it rapidly became extremely popular all over Italy and it's now one of the most popular and beloved desserts.
• Risotto Nero: Risotto is a traditional Croatian dish, it got assimilated by the Republic of Venice and then spread across Italy, rapidly becoming a classic beloved of the Italian cuisine. It's a plate of boiled rice with squid and squid ink, extremely tasty. Sometimes zucchini and shrimps are added.
• Gelato: Gelato is way smoother, softer, way less dense ice cream.
• Sorbet: Sorbet/Sgroppino is another italian dessert, and it's made out of either lemon juice, liquorice or coffee-flavored ice cream mixed with egg white and liquor and served ice cold.
• Prosciutto: Italian ham that is way more cured, treated and cleaned than mainstream ham, and for some kind of prosciutto the treatment lasts even years. What comes out is a way smoother, sweeter, thinner meat, almost completely coloured of a really bright and light pink.

• When Bucciarati's gang enter in Coco Jumbo, they turn the T.V. on and there is a football soccer game on the screen which shows Tsubasa Ozora from Captain Tsubasa.

• When Chariot Requiem has the arrow, Polnareff describes how Diavolo has a split personality. He mentions Billy Milligan as an example of someone who had ten different personalities.
• Giorno Giovanna (Gio is the Italian equivalent of Jo, so you read it as "Jo-rno Jovanna"). Giorno means "day", and Giovanna is an Italian feminime name, that literally means "a gift from God". "God" in Italian is "Dio", so it's literally a gift from Dio.

Part 8: JoJolion
Film • When Yasuho is in the basement of the Higashikata residence with Tsurugi, there is a poster on the back wall of the film, Enter the Dragon, starring Bruce Lee.
• When the protagonist drags Yasuho into the Higashikata's family photo, it resembled the family photo scene in The Godfather where Michael Corleone drags Kay into the photo. Also, when Higashikata realizes one of his sons is missing, he decides to not take the picture like the way Vito Corleone acted when he noticed Michael was missing.
• When Yasuho and the protagonist come to Yoshikage Kira's home, they see a naked woman bathing in a way similar to the room 237 scene of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.
• The Trouble with the curve story arc is a reference to the movie, Trouble with the Curve. The movie stars Clint Eastwood, one of Araki's favorite actors.

Oi, eu queria uma opinião sua, você que tá mais por dentro de JoJo que eu. Faz 1 semana e pouco que terminei a parte 6 e tenho uma dúvida. É verdade esse papo que o Araki planejava reviver o Dio de algum jeito no final de Stone Ocean mas desistiu da ideia? Vi um monte de vídeo falando sobre como o final da parte 6 parece arrastado e "rápido" demais (KKKKKKK) e tem algumas coisas que dão a entender isso mesmo. Por exemplo a luta contra o C Moon, onde o Pucci mal usa ele e já pula pro Made in heaven. Também achei que a luta contra o Donatello acabou rápido demais. Uma pena. Foi uma das que eu mais gostei de acompanhar. Mas o rumor que sempre falam é que a parte 6 não tava sendo bem recebida na época e ele inventou de resetar o universo/dar um final no mangá. Atd onde isso aí é verdade? Por que depois de Stone Ocean, vem Steel Ball Run. E a parte 7 tem uma qualidade RIDÍCULA de boa. Cada capítulo tem 40-60 páginas e eu já li vários se nem perceber o tempo passar. Pra mim não cola muito esse papo aí. Como uma pessoa aparentemente "sem ideias" e sem saber que rumo dar a história, cria Steel Ball Run logo depois?
