Both have somber elements to the storytelling,cute girls,cute art and character designs and quite a bit of supernatural shit in it too.

Full Moon wo Sagashite and Air are two drama anime with some supernatural/fantasy elements added alongside a surprisingly tragic plot. Several characters in both shows have their backstory shown and these are not all happy-go-lucky as the story seems to be at first sight. Both shows also seem to have characters with wings and great music.
