Both animes revolve around a themed all-male school club being hosted at a wealthy academy and a girl who dresses like a boy that joins the club. Each club member has a distincive personality so you get the character variety aspect. Both series also feature pretty boys.

Both anime revolve around pretty teen schoolboys with too much money and time on their hands who form a secret wealthy club to indulging in many fun activities for their own pleasure, whether it's pleasing girls while acting as butlers or helping people by being a detective respectively. Pretty Boy Detective Club seems to take inspiration from Ouran High School Host Club.

Both involve a girl dressing up as and joining a club of exclusively guys. Characters don't fit one singular archetype and are all loveable in their own ways.
Honestly I think Pretty boy detective club is highly similar to Ouran High School Host Club. The main character is a girl but is just up as a boy as well to join a club just like Haruhi. The pretty boy detective club is for pretty boy's to make sure that their they make their clients dreams come true. If you like OHSHC I really suggest watching Pretty boy detective club.
Bishounen Tanteidan aka Pretty Boys Detective Club is similar to Ouran Highschool Host Club in a way they both have pretty boys in it and how it starts is very similar, however, this is a novel too :D
