it is similar in sveral ways. 1. the main character haruhi is made to part of the host club for breaking an item in the club. where as toru is nominated to part of the princess system. 2. haruhi is a girl and dresses as a guy to pay her debt, b/c the host club is made up of all guys. where as toru is made to dress like a girl b/c he and the others in the system are morral builders for the boys at the school. and 3. both characters impact the other characters around them.

When I watched this the show it instantly reminded me of ouran and whenever the princess' smile its just like a ouran host.I actually found this recommendation of the net too and then I remembered I was reading it in a otakuzine in the magazine said that all fangirls should at least try it.So i decided to watch it the tags normally given to it was:comedy,shojo,yaoi,gender-bending,cross dressing,need i say more I really incourage you to watch and dont worry for me it was one of those anime thatyou just go on and on
both about school life and have the playing the opposite gender humor.
if you love that you like the other for sure ^^
both of these are pretty funny! ouran and princess are kind of opposites though,
one it guys trying to please guys and the other is pleasing girls. so watch both!!

Both animes have the gender bender host feel to them and are romantic comedy based. Also the main characters both come from a humble back ground and go to a private school that has a host type club/ group and are dragged into it at first against there will.

Both animes contain yaoi, members from each anime decide to crossdress for benifits and stuff like that, the humor is quite similar and have alot of similarities
Both are Comedy, maybe even rom/com

I just started watching Princess Princess and both shows are similar. Dont belive me Ill break it down. Protagonist having to dress as the opposite gender, clubs made to pander for people, good looking guys, over the top comedy, relatabity in the drama, cute openings, made in earily 2000's, schools that are academies, protagonist starting to enjoy their clubs.
