Both series have a messed up world where many people die every day from either monsters or other humans. Main characters are on a quest for revenge, travelling the lands to find this person. They are both very dark.
Both MC’s sink themselves in revenge and drastically change as a result
Both MC’s have a curse
Fire Punch delves more (then Berserk) into confusing identity with purpose as the main focus whilst
Berserk focuses more on the difference between good & evil from different point of views.

Each explore more complex emotions in the characters and focus on a lost MC. They both play around with different moral views in a fair manner that make the story a lot more interesting. The art's good as is the world and dialogue. Plot in fire punch is very rough but in a way adds to it's charm and if you're able to enjoy what it can uniquely achieve along with berserk you'll overlook it. It stays with you for a long time after reading it. It is generally agreed FP is a unique manga so I'm not telling you to trust my impression.
The journey of a struggler. Very violent and sometimes grotesque fights and scenery, both exist in dystopian-like worlds. Main character is haunted by a traumatic event and is driven by hatred.
good storylines
A tragic antihero
Both MCs dont really talk so side characters have a lot of personality
dark mangas with gore abuse and all the good edgy stuff
Both series are extremely brutal and morbid. In both series the main character is badass and merciless towards his enemies.
Similar in the sense of gruesome and tragic fates, main characters suffers a lot.
