A music video completely centered in Ayano? Is the world truly coming to an end?
One of the few problems i had with with the Kagerou Project universe was the fact that Ayano never did anything nor had a character of her own.
Sure she appears on almost every story of the universe and she is related to almost everyone except Konoha, the adults or the kids but she is never given a character of her own.
I would talk about Mekakucity Actors but that would mean i would have to talk about Meka Actors and yeah no.
On Ayano theory of happyness she is like a role figure but she is only there to make us feel bad and to give information on the others characters past and to be a blob of helplessness and the last bit is not even half as good as Konoha no Sekai Jijou nor Kagerou Days both musical videos who also have their main topic being helplessness (which is complemented afterwards with every character having a music video on their own).
On Lost Memories once again she is also there for like 5 seconds to make us feel bad again.
She appears for like 3 seconds on Children Record and adding Toumei Answer as well then...
She is useless. She is there to make everyone around her feel bad (viewer included).
So how can she gain some protagonism, relevance (and more importantly) and coolness?

Well obviously by having finally a song of her own accentuating said helplessness with a more rushed feel to it (rather than the gloomy slow ass songs that she is primarily involved with)! Duh.
The song is a desperate monologue about her uselessness and her powerlessness in which she imagines all the things she wanted to but stopped herself from trying.
She regrets her past actions and declares that she loved Shintaro and wanted to tell him, she regrets not saying or doing anything in some kind of flower schoo limbo (much more pretty than the damn clockwork world from MekaActors btw).
This song feels fresh and different from the rest of the songs and just for that it deserves some praise.
She is still depressive as hell (which seems to be her default mood on every damn of her appearances) but at the very least she is depressive in her own contained way unlike Yonabashi Deceive or Shounen Brave kind of depression that slaps you and your dog in the face.

Art.
Shidu is back at it again and he makes a nice mix of clear visual imagery, metaphors and shots of a crazy possesed red scarf (that could have been dozens of times better with 2 or 3 more frames because this bit of animation feels lazy and when you see it like 6 times it doesnt leave a good taste of mouth).
The empty scenarios and the "pencil drawn" style that everything seems painted with (that is only broken with gruesome effects like blood or static that are cool as hell) are incredibly atractive (more than Ayano Theory of Happyness on my humble opinion).
The only bit of lore that to this day i still dont get is the mysterious television (that appears on Yonabashi Deceive and ATOH as well).
A nice add is finally we see Ayano's suicide (wow did i honestly just wrote that?). A bit of information that was completely skipped on maybe all of her previous music video appearances (she dies like 3 times on this video if that counts for something).

A fast chaotic (high quality just like all KP songs) Ayano song that gives a good chunk of information about her character.
You can't ask for more.
