For those who have played the mobile match-three game "Cat Atelier" (formerly "Days of Nyan Gogh"), this anime is a cute little extra. Although the story of the game and show is quite similar, with the anime being much more streamlined due to time constraints, it was interesting and fun to see certain plot elements fully animated. The tone is still light and humorous in a wholesome way. The art is distinctive and charming. I watched this show to relax and have a good time revisiting some funny old "friends", and that is exactly what I got.
For those who have not played the game, I think this anime is a nice, quick watch for those wanting something cute and fluffy, and is suitable for children at heart young and old. As each episode is only a few minutes, it does not take much commitment. This anime may especially interest those who have knowledge of 19th/20th century art history, but it can be enjoyed wholly without that knowledge - I even learned a few facts about famous artists and art styles while watching it.
