First what is Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya?
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is an anime and manga series written by Hiroshi Hiroyama, adapted by studio SILVER LINK. from 2013 to 2016, totaling three seasons and 42 episodes, plus 3 films, one titled, "Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Prisma Phantasm", the other titled "Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya: Sekka no Chikai" and the last film titled "Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya: Licht no Namae"
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, tells a parallel story to Fate/Stay Night, where the character Illyasviel Von Einzbern, who is one of the main characters in the Fate/Stay Night series, is the protagonist instead of Shirou Emiya, where in the story Illya she led a completely normal life with her friends at school, lol I don't remember the name of any of them except Tatsuko, until she was taking a shower, a Magic staff called Ruby makes a contract with Illya, and so she now has the mission to collect the classes cards containing the powers of the heroic spirits who fought the Holy Grail War,then Illya transforms into a magical girl, or Mahou Shoujo, in the literal translation. So Rin Tohsaka, female protagonist of the Unlimited Blade Works Route reaches Illya and then she officially becomes a Magical Girl.
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, is a series that I really enjoyed watching, because I was never really into magical girl anime, at most I saw what was one episode of Smile Precure lol, but I watched Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, and i can say one thing, what an awesome anime.
The anime brought me something that Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online (which are my three favorite works) ended up not bringing as much, a very linear character development and an animation well above average for an anime that doesn't have as many fans as the three I mentioned, the development of the entire relationship between Illya and Miyu, it's very beautiful how much Illya cares about Miyu, it's no wonder that in the third season she goes to great lengths to save Miyu. Another thing I really like is how the series makes Shirou Emiya, the protagonist of the main series, look like a pervert, even though he is quiet in his corner. More things I have to highlight is the development and prominence of some characters who don't have as much screen time in Fate/Stay Night, such as Bazett Mc Fraga and Luviagelita Edelfelt, who in this series are much more important to the plot than in Fate/Stay Night. The end of the second season is also very beautiful, I love this series so much and the third season, even though it is the weakest in terms of history, in terms of plot and development it is incredible, even Gilgamesh who is a disgrace in Fate/Stay Night, here he is It's really cute and good, I really like this series, I hope there's a 4th season soon.
