Pros-
Female lead with an actual personality at odds with societal expectations but who's totally worth rooting for. In terms of ecchi anime shes definitely a more interesting character.
It promotes healthy sexual and romantic exploration with partners. The shows ostensibly about how comedically horny the lead is actually secretly about how young people should navigate both sex and love with other young people.
This show actually shows tits! Wow! Also when the characters are horny they act horny they don't just sub in annoying anime tropes for an adult situation like people getting nosebleeds instead of erections or whatever.
Male lead is a great guy: hes not dense or weak-willed, he does what hes expected to. Also he interacts with characters outside of romantic/sexual situations.
Its pretty funny!
Cons-
It doesn't fulfill expectations completely. It keeps pointing towards being more adult and serious than a lot of other ecchi anime but then itll take a step back.
Its kinda ugly? I mean its an older anime but I cant get over how in some scenes the main character actually looks cute and then in others she looks totally f-ed up like her heads too small on her body or her face is too big or idk. Just not stellar animation or art or whatever. Somehow the male lead always looks normal though.
Hot take but I think the show should let her be sluttier. Its like the show subtly reinforces the notion that shes wrong to want to be slutty which isnt cool. The double standard is that men in anime/society are allowed to be and even ought to be sexually interested in multiple people at once.
The characters dont develop much from the start of the show, side characters especially.
Overall im a harsh judge of even anime I enjoy so ill give it a 6.5. I would have a hard time recommending this to someone (even as a good example within the genre) unless they were already pretty familiar with ecchi.
