Masaaki Yuasa
Anime
Masaaki Yuasa is a very experimental and often surreal creator and a personal favourite. I put together a list of anime he directed.
There are a few anime listed here he only directed part of: Anime Rakugo Kan; Genius Party; Space Dandy.

Series created by Shinichirou Watanabe (of Cowboy Bebop fame). Watanabe wanted to create a show with production more akin to the process of American TV, with himself in the position of showrunner. Each episode usually had a different writer/director with Watanabe only doing 4 of the 26 episodes himself.
Included because Yuasa is the director and writer for episode 3 of season 2.
