Easily one of my top or first favorite anime. The adventure you embark by watching this show will NOT leave you disappointed. Interesting characters, interesting story, interesting setting... I can honestly talk about this anime all day! But to put it simply, Black Lagoon is a tale of a bored Japanese business man who decides to join a group of mercenary pirates within the southeast/west of Asia. From doing raids, to smuggling goods, assassinating, the Black Lagoon company does it all, and does it well.

I have never seen an anime which is like this one, it's incredibly unique. The common saying of "emotional damage", is truly an understatement to what the main protagonists in this story go through. Also, this could be a "me" thing, but there is something so atmospheric about this anime that I cannot describe. Highly recommend this anime to anyone who enjoys the romance genre.

Great anime. Just like the anime called "Lain," this show really has that "lost media" feel from back in the early 2000's. The story has it's issues, but overall was quite enjoyable to watch. The characters themselves are decently built and the setting is intriguing.

Disney style animation with not the best of stories but definitely not the worst. But the story isn’t really the reason why this anime is great, the combat scenes and animation is smooth and very captivating to watch. Highly recommended to anyone who likes action.

I believe this is the First anime I have ever watched, and I am proud of it. Best soundtrack I ever heard in an anime, easily rivaling the "Your Lie in April" soundtrack. Even though it has an interesting story and characters, you will be let down by bad world building and several rushed parts. Even with this in mind, I'll still give it a go if you like music and action, but to be honest, this could just be my nostalgic self typing here.

Give it a go for a couple of episodes and see how you like this show. At first I dropped this show multiple times due to it's slow pacing at the start, but while in the middle of a anime drought during 2020, I decided to give this show another go and made it five episodes in. Turns out, that I like it... I really like it... Especially once things started to get interesting and learned the backgrounds of all the characters. After that, the show was amazing. The settings and characters are quite well done and were interesting from start to finish. The one and only issue I had with this anime is because----- (SPOILER)

Are you like me? A military vehicle nerd who is not only obsessed with military ships, aircraft, but also tanks? Well, this anime alone is what brought tank nerds/historians/weebs together. This show is filled with references to past world events, wars, world leaders, and of course the "main dish" itself, the fuc*king tanks. There is absolutely nothing like this anime.

Really, really, really well made story with great characters and awesome mech fights. This anime is such a great Mix between Tsunarde/Comedy/Mecha/Military genres. It does this mix so well and if you were to continue past the first season, you will love this show as much as myself.

Admit it motherfu**er, as bad as this anime is in certain areas of the show, this anime pioneered a new anime generation for us degenerates, a best anime generation to be living in. Even though this Anime is a prequel to the video game, I recommend playing Cyberpunk 2077 first to deeply immersive yourself into this Dystopian world. It is extremely deep and well made when it comes to Lore/Story. The anime itself really opens the doors and shows how deep the world is, but not as much in the game in my opinion. Besides world building, the story itself is really good, most of the characters are built OK when it comes to their personality and design, and the animation is top notch as expected from studio Trigger.

Similar to games and anime like Library of Runia and Cyberpunk, This show takes the (Sort of) Dystopian/Fixer(Mercenary)/Gore/Human turned-Monster fight actual Monster genres and mushes them together with crazy interesting characters and plot. No anime is like this one, and it will probably remain the best of its kind. If you're interested in great animation and fight scenes, this anime is undoubtedly a great watch.

A very slow, wholesome, comedic, and grounded anime. Nothing ridiculous to find in this anime. It simply shows a story of self-ostracized geeks, nerds, and weebs in a collage club together. If you like shows that are very slowed pace with a "calm" plot, this is a great show to watch.
