she saves her multiple times and they love each other very much. not in a romantic way but really they could just have each other. the bond is so deep. i love them.

this one is heartbreaking. the main girl has a best friend who is found killed but she has to find out who it is. she says she did it, but come to find out who, and went through everyone she knew. they risk their lives for each other. ngl i cried.

i relate to moe on a different kinda level. her best friend is innocent and can’t stand up for herself, is super passive, insecure, too trusting. the guy who likes her starts by bullying her and she just apologizes and feels bad. moe is just trying to be the best friend she can. she may seem overprotective and controlling but her friend is genuinely emotionally weak and fragile. it hurt me because you could tell at the end, she was sad because she felt like she lost her bsf. idk why but it made me really emotional.

similar to the one above, there’s Nana; a punk rock girl who is outspoken, and hardcore, and then her best friend Hachi (her name is Nana too); she is super wholesome and innocent and falls for every guy she knows. Nana is overprotective sometimes and controlling but she is worried about losing her and Hachi being hurt by the guys she infatuates herself with. it breaks my heart because Nana did lose her.

This friendship is driven by the both of them wanting to run away. The boy has been SA’d by a father figure in his life and the girl doesn’t like being at home. They run away but they are still kids and they run into scary adults and have to protect each other.

The FL has a little girl and she is very low on money. She goes to work at a club (s3x work) and meets a girl who also works there. They hit it off pretty quick and she protects her. I know it’s technically a romance but the friendship stood out to me.
