Good Stories About Queer Men
Manga
What it says on the tin. Stories I thought were particularly good featuring queer men. Some are BL, some are not. It's literally just my personal taste!

An emotionally resonant coming-of-age story. Follows the relationships of three teens in their last year of high school. There is a section that's very 'straight people discover gays for the first time and debate it' and some people do not like it for that reason, but it just felt real to me. I've been the queer person in the room too scared to say anything while people argued for or against my humanity. Made me cry multiple times (positive)

A story about moving through the world with a disability. Not perfect, but it tries to depict Deaf culture in Japan honestly, and it puts thought into the relationship between the protagonists.

Listen. If you are an NBC Hannibal enjoyer, you should give this one a try. The relationship is a little codependent and unusual. It deals with some heavy stuff, there's blood, gore, and violence. Unusual art style. Unfortunately, the main characters are cops, but I'm willing to look past it for this one.

A drag queen meets an ordinary salaryman. This story is interested in queerness and is frankly refreshing. The leads have excellent chemistry and both have to honestly face their needs as they get to know each other.
