The pace of this manga is rather slow, but it fits the story really well. It can take quite some time to figure out your feelings and sexuality and the manga depicts this well by not rushing through it. Each chapter has so many details and everything just feels so real and healthy and just good. Recommended to everyone but especially people new to BL and people who like to read about healthy relationships and slowly discovering more of yourself.

The relationship between Nanami and Godai starts as some sort of rivalry with one guy always challenging the others. But one of the challenges starts changing their relationship...

This manga is super hilarious but not because of the typical comedy elements. It feels more like a parody and that it isn't taking itself seriously sometimes. For BL newbies it's probably not so funny but if you read a lot of BL and are well aware of stereotypes and things that often happen, then this can be a really fun read.

Kou and Nagisa both work at the pole dancer club that Kou's father founded. They dislike each other in the beginning, but after working together for a while they start to understand each other better.

I rarely wish that manga had colored pages, but here I really would have loved to seen them both dancing in colors. Still, even in just black and white the manga delivers a great story about a relationship that slowly shifts from hating each other to developing feelings for each other while also dealing with problems from the past.

Kei and Chiyo have been friends for a long time. But then one day Chiyo walks in on Kei and learns that his friend might have deeper feelings for him.

The is a story about two guys struggling with their feelings for each other. If you like emotional rollercoasters then this is a good manga to read.

Tora starts working as driver/bodyguard for the male prostitute Shiro because he needs the money. He doesn't really want to work there but the more time he spends with Shiro, the more he feels drawn to him. He soon has to learn though that Shiro has a rather complicated personality because of his past.

This is not an easy read and I wouldn't recommend it to beginners or people who can't deal with darker stories - this one contains prostitution and violence and can be emotionally painful at times. If you're fine with darker stories then this one is a great read.

Haru was in love with Shigure, but after Shigure's death he could never find love again. When he meets Yukitaka, Shigure's younger brother, many painful memories come back and he has to deal not only with the younger brother but also with his own feelings.

This manga is a spin-off of "Mods" but you don't need to read the parent story to enjoy this manga. A plot that introduces a character that is similar to a beloved dead character as a potential love interest might seem weird, but it was done tastefully here. It has lots of feelings and emotions throughout the story and especially towards the end.

Ruca and Leo work at a host club that employs alphas to offer their services to the customers. They're the No.1 and No.2 at the club and both take pride in them being great alpha tops. One night, they're both booked by a female customer who has a rather weird request.

Omegaverse is something not everyone likes but this story feels different because it's mostly about two alpha guys, so in essence this is more a story about two guys who are both tops. If you enjoy this dynamic then this is a great read. It still contains some omegaverse elements but they're not very intrusive and fit into the story. Warning: Contains dub-con/non-con elements.

Bessho and Makita meet at university and slowly get to know each other better. Bessho struggles with what other people might think about his preferences and tries to keep things to himself. But when he realizes that he likes Makita, things slowly get better for him.

This manga is super fluffy and wholesome. There are some problems in their relationship, but they both communicate a lot to solve the problems and over time the characters develop so much. The manga also contines a side story about their two friends which is also nice.

Himari never really learned much about sex due to him skipping health education in school and no father or friends teaching him. This causes him to not understand how his own body reacts and what people in high school are saying about him. But then his new friend Gaku offers him to teach him all these things.

The premise might sound a bit weird, but this manga has a great story about discovering the own body and in the process also discovering the own sexuality. A wholesome manga with a lot of character development for both characters.

Ryuuji and Leo meet at university. They both struggle with something—Ryuuji stopped playing soccer after an accident and Leo has problems with painting because of his color blindness. They become friends who get along really well and support each other when Ryuuji notices that he might have feelings for Leo.

The relationship between the two guys develops very slowly and that might make it look like the pace of the story is a bit slow. But that makes it more realistic and there are so many other things happening in the story while they are only friends in the beginning. It's not only a manga about same-sex relationships, it's also a manga about the loss of something you enjoy doing a lot and that you shouldn't give up and even if you can't do exactly what you want to do, you should have the courage to do something similar that you can enjoy.

Itsumi is a guy who looks scary but on the inside he's just a really sweet boy who loves cats. One day, the popular student council president Takajou tells Itsumi that he likes him and they start getting closer to each other.

Takajou can be a little pushy sometimes, but it's not the annoying kind of pushy like how it is often done in BL. He's also considerate and mindful and the whole manga just feels quite wholesome. It's a sweet story about two guys who are quite different but the more time they spend together, the better they understand each other.

Kazumi hits the author Kijima with his bike by accident - to compensate for the damage, Kijima asks Kazumi to help him write down his current novel. Kazumi is first a bit shocked when he finds out that Kijima writes erotic novels, but soon he gets not only used to writing them down but also develops an attraction to Kijima.

It might look like one of the manga where they end up doing it all the time, but that's actually not the case. This manga focuses a lot on the characters and the slowly developing relationship between them without turning it into some mindless sex story. There's also a sequel to the story as well as a prequel that shows more about Kijima's past. All three manga have also been adapted to Japanese drama series/movies with great actors and performance (highly recommended too).

On the outside, Uemura is a model student, but on the inside he has lots of dirty thoughts and likes to masturbate a lot. He keeps this other side of him a secret to everyone - until he gets caught doing it at school by the playboy Matsuoka.

This is what I consider good smut: both characters enjoy the sex and it's done on a mutual understanding. But besides all the smut, the manga is also pretty fluffy and cute, making this an enjoyable and light read.

When Kuroda accidentally finds out Shirato's secret of being a vampire, he sees it as his chance to become even stronger by turning into a vampire himself. There's only one problem: Shirato has no desire to turn Kuroda into a vampire.

It's not the typical vampire story and the reason for the sexy scenes seems to be some lame excuse. But putting this aside it's a pretty fun read with lots of funny scenes, something I don't find that often in BL manga.

Shingo plays cupid for his classmates by finding out information about their love interests. When he has to find out more about the rather cold guy Ao, he slowly gets closer to him.

This is a super cute, fluffy and wholesome manga about two guys who slowly get to know each other. There is also a sequel (both volumes are in one entry on Futekiya but on MAL they're in two separate entries) which has some more drama but it also gives their relationship more depth.

Wako has been in love with his childhood friend Takeo for a very long time. One day, Takeo suddenly declares he could also be together with a guy. Is this a chance for Wako...?

This is a spin-off manga to the "Cupid ni Rakurai" series but it's not necessary to read that one first (though it's recommended to understand some character interactions a bit better, plus it's good!). If you want to read the parent story then you need to read the second volume (the "Cupid ni Rakurai: Tsuigeki" entry on MAL) because this is where Takeo gets introduced. Kanshakudama no Love Song is rather slow story but it puts a lot of focus on the feelings of both characters and the relationship development.

Takanashi can't shake the feeling of having started working at a weird company when he finds out his boss Tokunaga is gay and in love with the company's president. But after a while he starts realizing that he quite likes Tokunaga...

This series consists of three volumes, which are all on Futekiya. On MAL they are listed in separate entries with this one being the first entry. The first volume also has stories about other couples but the sequels only focus on Takanashi and Tokunaga. Many office stories are just smut but in this case, the focus is mostly on the characters, their relationship development, and how they overcome problems in their relationship.

After an incident, Izumi transfers to a new school and tries to avoid people. But this doesn't stop his classmate Riku to become friends with Izumi. When they meet Izumi's old classmates and they openly talk about the past incident, Izumi is scared of how Riku will react.

This is a rather slow story that focuses a lot on the characters, especially Izumi and his bad experience and how he slowly opens up to a new friend. It's a very nice story about friendship, slowly developing feelings, and dealing with past and current problems.

When University student Ikumi comes home during vacation, he meets Harukiyo, one of the gardeners of his parents. Harukiyo seems to dislike Ikumi at first - but after some time Ikumi finds out that this is not the case and that his feelings towards Harukiyo also are slowly changing.

This is an overall cute and fluffy manga with two guys who are both sweet in their own ways. The relationship between them develops rather slowly (before they get together and then when they do) but it's nice how the story focuses on the characters.

Keisuke meets the sad office worker Yukifumi on a rainy day when he lends him an umbrella. Keisuke listens to Yukifumi's story and tries to help him but things the more complicated when Yukifumi's ex-lover shows up.

The cover might look a little off-putting with the slightly weird proportions and the rope. But there's no BDSM involved, the rope is more a symbol of how Yukifumi is bound to his past. The drawings are great and Keisuke is a really great character that shows in how he's trying to help Yukifumi. The ex-lover also has an extra story at the end.

Nagisa returns back to his hometown to recover from work and his life in the city. But when he meets his childhood friend Kaito, Nagisa is reminded of why he left his hometown - to escape from the tragic events that happened in the past. Now that they reunited again, Nagisa has to face the past and the present.

This is a pretty sad manga about two guys trying to deal with something that happened in the past and that still affects them years later. In the process of doing this, Nagisa realizes a lot about himself and his feelings and can slowly overcome the bad things and focus on he present and what is important to him now.

When Yoshimura accidentally bumpes into Shima, he gets very intimidated by the angry looking guy. When he finds out that Shima likes sweets a lot, he starts sharing some with him every day, and soon he finds out that Shima isn't what he looks like.

This manga contains stories about 3 different couples. The first one is a very sweet story with a scary looking guy who actually likes sweets a lot. The second story is related to the first one in that it's about their friends. The third story is about the teacher. An overall sweet manga!

Kawase and Kurihara are both top students. Little does Kawase know that Kurihara sees him as his biggest rival who tries to do everything to get better than Kawase. When Kawase notices that Kurihara seems to have a problem, he starts helping him.

While this manga has a rival to lovers dynamic, the overall atmosphere is rather quiet which makes it a nice and pleasent read. One guy is a tsundere, but in a good way and not done over the top.
